Fall Harvest Party Favors

You all probably know by now how much I love to make party favors…and today is no different! I enjoy giving these little gifts as much as people seem to love receiving them. For today’s project, I thought we could create some fun Fall party favors that could be used for a dinner party favor or a little gift for a teacher or a friend. For our focal image we will be using a brand new stamp set – Ai Harvest Pumpkin Set (5595) – from the Watercolor Journals Collection. This set is designed to be mixed and matched with the other sets from the collection. There are so many beautiful Fall images including pumpkins, a little truck and tractor, a ladder, mini mice and squirrels, a wheelbarrow and so much more! This brand new collections is also being sold as a bundle pack which includes some dies, sentiments and papers in the collection!

All of the coloring today will be done using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Bright Yellow, Orange, Beige, Mid Green, Smoky Olive, Green Gray, Lt Gray.

We will use a pretty scalloped frame die from the Ai Journal Template Set (5543) to create the base of our topper. We will also be using some gingham paper from the new Ai Harvest Journal Paper Pack 6″x6″ (5606).

For the sentiment let’s grab the “Happy Thanksgiving” sentiment from the Ai Harvest Sentiments (5600) Set and create a banner. This set has several wonderful sentiments that will suit any Fall style card!

After we assemble the layers and attach this topper to our goodie bags we can add a few pretty champagne colored gems for a bit of sparkle!

Now….for the best part….let’s add some candy! If you didn’t want to add the candy for some reason…you could just use this topper as a place setting and add your guests names to the front or back to personalized them!

Simple Card Layout Design w/ Pretty Patterned Papers

Let’s create a simple layered card using some pretty patterned papers! For our focal image we will be using the cute little scarecrow from the Ai Harvest Together Set (5507)! This set has so many fun Fall images and coordinating sentiments and we will be using the sentiment that says “Cutest Pumpkin in the Patch” which would be just perfect for a boys birthday card or Fall celebration card!

All of the coloring for our focal image will be done using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Shadow Pink, Bordeaux Red, Beige, Brick Beige, Lt Brown, Sand, Smoky Olive, Mid Brown.

We will be using a wonderful 6″x6″ double-sided paper pad from the Carta Bella – Welcome Fall Collection to create all of the layers for this card. This simple card design will come to life with all of these pretty papers. To create the layers and banners we will be using the Ai Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies (5063), Ai Flag Double Stitched Dies (5133), and the Ai Journal Template Die Set (5543).

As a finishing touch, we can add some Carta Bella Enamel Dots and create the card base from that same Welcome Fall Collection!

Tim Holtz 2022 Halloween – Mixed Media Tag

Let’s take another look at the new Tim Holtz 2022 Halloween – Trick or Treat – Colorize Die Set! We previously use this set to create the spooky eyes from this set in our cathedral window which you can check out here if you missed it! Just click on this link – Tim Holtz 2022 Halloween – Trick or Treat Colorize . However, this time we will be using the wonderful, extra large sized, yummy, candy corn die.

To create our tag base we will be using the Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits – Framed Tags! For added interest, this tag is designed so that it can be ink up and it will also emboss a frame around the die. This will add so much interest and dimension to this tag!

Next, let’s sponge on some distress oxide inks in a few colors to give this a more vintage look! We will also add some patterned paper to this tag and tear the edges. We can then spatter this with some Distress Oxide Ink. Now we will add some TH Distress Crackle Texture Paste using the TH Stampers Anonymous Mini Layering Stencil. Once this paste dries we can add some ink over the top of the crackled areas to darken the cracks for a more aged look. This just looks so cool….I never get tired of watching this crackle paste magic!

We will be using the Tim Holtz 2022 Halloween Distress Pearlized Crayons to color the pieces need to create the candy corn. I’ll show you how to assemble this colorized image very simply and easily!

We need a container to fill with our candy corn….so let’s grab the TH Bigz – Potted #2 steel rule die. We will die cut this using some TH Distress Woodgrain Cardstock in Gray and Black. These are also new products for Christmas and Halloween this year!

We can die cut the word “CANDY” and layer up several letters for added dimension. Now let’s add some black cording, a skull and crossbones, a few Halloween embellishments…and then do one final spattering of the entire tag!

Fun and Easy Window Fold Card!

Today we will be creating and extra special window fold card! I’ll show you an easy way to create a fun peek-a-boo window opening for your card! We will be using the Ai Feline Set (5369) for our focal image and one of the sentiments and then we will use the Ai Birthday Buggy Set (5455) for the banner sentiment on the front of our card. The sentiment on the inside of the card says “Oh…were you going to eat this?” which is just so perfect for this card.

To set the scene for this card we will be using some pretty double-sided patterned papers. Let’s start by die cutting the front panel and inside panels of the card using the Ai Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies Set (5063) and then we will be using the Ai Square Double Stitched Die Set (5061) to create the square opening in the card. I will show you how to create this unique folded window opening and I will also give you a few different other ideas for creating this window card!

All of the coloring will be done using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Tea Rose, Lt Pink, Pale Rose, Haze Blue, Lt Gray, Beige, Lt Brown.

We will add a few star sequins, pretty pink gems and the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen for some added sparkle!

I’ve got a super spooky Halloween card for you today!!! We will be using the Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits – Trick or Treat – Colorize Die Set. This fantastic new die set is from the TH 2022 Halloween Collection. We will be using the creepy eyeball die to create our card!

To set the scene, we will be embossing the front panel using the TH 3D Texture Fades – Cobblestone #2 Embossing Folder. Next let’s die cut the beautiful TH Cathedral Window from the center of our front card panel. We can quickly ink these up the background and the window using the TH Black Soot Oxide Ink to give them an aged look.

For the background of our window we will be taking a piece of black cardstock and spraying it with the TH Mica Spray in Brushed Pewter. This will give the background an nice shimmer and add to the creep factor!!!

This die set is from the TH Colorize Collection and so to create the eyes there are several layers that we will need to die cut and assemble. Don’t worry…this is very simple to do! I’ll admit this was my first time with the colorized dies and I really concerned that I might not have the patience for it…but I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was put these together. The dies are clearly marked so that you know what color to die cut each of the pieces and where to place each of the layers. I’ll show you that up close in the video!

Now we can die cut some bats using the TH Gate Keeper Die Set and then we will add some Halloween Droplets to give them added dimension. At this point we can select some scary sentiments from the TH Sticker Sheets. So our card will say “A strange visitor…eyes fixed unwaveringly upon them…watching and waiting”, which is perfect for these spooky eyes in the window.

We can also add some TH Grit Paste – Crypt and a spider along the bottom of the window!

Crafty Gift Card Holder

Let’s combine two stamps sets today to create a fun “Crafty Tool Bag” gift card holder! We will be using the Ai Craft Bag and Die Set (5502) and the Ai Tool Bag and Die Set (5503). I thought the tool bag looked a bit like the craft tote that I bring with me when I am going to a friends house to do some crafting. So let’s fill it with all of the fun elements from the Craft Bag Set including the scissors, pens, ruler, pencils, notebook, etc. When you die cut this little tool bag with your dies…it will cut out all of these openings and pockets so that you have a place to tuck in all of your fun craft supplies!

To create a fun pattern for this bag we will stamp the tool bag onto some pretty lavender floral paper from Lawn Fawn. We will stamp the tool bag image again on some white cardstock and cut out some of the trim work for additional interest.

Next we can stamp and color all of the crafty supplies using the Tombow Twintone Dual Tip Markers in the Brights colors! These bright colors will look great on our little gift card holder! Let’s blend these colors using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Blender Pen….but you could also use a water brush here as well!

We can tuck all of these items into our craft bag! Now let’s create the Gift Card Holder using the Ai Envelope GCH Die Set (5344). This is so quick and easy to assemble!

We can also create a notecard for the inside of the gift card holder and add a few more crafty elements here as well. A few buttons, scissors and a pretty bow will complete this notecard!

And finally…for the front of the gift card holder…we can add a few baubles and a bow!

Your crafty friends will love this….especially if you add a gift card to their favorite craft store!!!
