Tim Holtz Reindeer Sleigh w/ Mica Stains and Ink Blending!

Today we will be playing with some beautiful brand-new dies from the Tim Holtz Christmas 2023 collection in order to create a really special Christmas card!!!

Let’s get started by creating a winter sky with a bright winter moon! The moon stencil is the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Moon Layering Mask. This set includes three different sizes of masks. Once we place the mask onto the card panel, we can then do a bit of ink blending using the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks. Before we remove the mask, we can spatter this panel with some metallic ink and some white ink. This will give us a snowy and starry night sky!

Next, we can die cut the Santa sleigh from the Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits – Reindeer Sleigh die set. We will layer several dies together for added dimension and the top layer will be the pretty black sparkle cardstock from the TH idea-ology Deco Sheets (Halloween) collection.

To color the beautiful trees, from the TH Sizzix Thinlits Forest Shadows die set, we will be using the TH Mica Stains. Let’s grab the Fresh Balsam and Bubbling Caldron and spray them directly onto to our die cut trees. When these dry they will have a pretty pearlized look!

We can add a Christmas Word from the TH idea-ology Baseboards and Transparencies – Christmas 2023 set. This sentiment will say “Believe in the magic of Christmas”, which just perfect for this card.

The red and white paper can be added to the card base and that is from the TH idea-ology Backdrops – Christmas 2023 collection.

This card will measure 5″ x 7″, so it is a bit larger than the usual A2 size card but is perfect for this set of dies!

Mini Christmas Twister w/ Layering Stencil Background!

Today we will be creating a super fun twister card using the brand-new Ai Mini Christmas Twister (5815) Set. This stamp and die set include several holiday twisters. We have got this adorable Santa, a sweet little snowman, a stocking full of gifts and the “JOY” sentiment! It also includes the dies that are necessary to create the spinner mechanisms and die cut all of the images.

Let’s start off by coloring the front and back of the Santa’s face. We will be using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Sugared Almond Pink, and Flesh Colour. To color the Santa suit we will be using the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink in Lumberjack Plaid.

Next, we can die cut the front and back of the Santa using the dies that are included in the set. We can also use this same set to die cut a pretty metallic frame in gold.

To set the scene for the card we will be stenciling a beautiful background using the Lawn Fawn Winter Sprigs Background Layering Stencil. We will again use the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks for this process….and all of the colors will be listed below.

We can create the “Gate Fold” card base using some heavy weight 100lb Kraft cardstock. I’ll show you exactly how to do this in today’s video and I will also give you the measurements for the front panels and for the inside card panel.

Next, we can die cut the opening for the mini spinner. You may have to run this through the die cutting machine a few times since we are die cutting a few layers of heavy cardstock. Now we can glue the frame in place.

And… for the fun part…. let’s pop our little Santa into the spinner mechanism and watch it spin!

Let’s also add a fun belt buckle to the front of the card using the Ai Mini Journal Template (5718). Once this has been die cut we can add a bit of texture to it using the Tim Holtz 3D Texture Fades in Cracked Leather. Then go ahead and center this on the front of the card… remember to only put glue on the ends of the buckle! I thought this would serve a couple different purposes by giving us a fun closure for the card and it also mimics the belt buckle on Santa’s suit!

Using the Ai Mousey Christmas (5564) we can grab a cute sentiment that says, “Have a Holly Jolly Christmas!” and stamp it using that same Lumberjack Plaid ink. We can also die cut this sentiment using a pretty die from the Ai Mini Journal Template (5718) Set.

Shaving Cream Marbling Technique to create Hero Arts Bulb Ornaments!

Let’s get started by creating some beautiful marble backgrounds using some shaving cream…. yes shaving cream!!! If you have never done this before you are going to get a kick out of this fun and easy process. I’ll show you exactly what to do in today’s video. It’s a bit messy…. but lots of fun!

To do the marbling we will be using the Hero Arts Liquid Watercolor and the Glimmer Metallic Inks. These bottles have a dropper applicator so it will make this product very easy to use.

Now we can die cut some ornaments from this marble paper using the Hero Arts Infinity Dies – Bulb Ornaments in a few different sizes. This will give our ornaments a very unique look! We can use these same dies to die cut the topper in some pretty metallic silver cardstock.

Next, we will add a sentiment to each of the ornaments using the Peace, Love, and Joy from the Hero Arts Ornament Peek-a-boo Infinity Parts set. We will emboss these sentiments using some “Liquid Platinum” embossing powder.

Next, we can create the background for the card using the Hero Arts Bold Prints 6″x6″ – Starry Night Brushstroke stamp. We will ink it using a clear embossing ink and then we will emboss it using the Hero Arts – White Satin Pearl embossing powder. Then we will add some pretty ink around the edges using the Hero Hues Ink Cube in Summer Sky. Let’s also spatter this background with some white paint for a snowy effect!

Let’s also ink the edges of the ornaments using the Hero Hues Ink Cube in Cotton Candy! We can add some pretty blue twine to each ornament and pop up the ornaments with some foam adhesive squares.

Next, we will die cut a pretty branch to hang our ornaments using the Tim Holtz “Holiday Greens” die set. Let’s die cut several of these branches and then glue them together for added dimension! Now we can add some Hero Paste in White Pearl for a pearlized snowy look!

Let’s quickly assemble the card and add a few of the Hero Arts Hero Hues Clear Enamel Dots onto the background, tie a pretty bow and add a few gems to the branch for a beautiful sparkle!

Pretty Poinsettia Card – Embossing using your dies!!!

Today let’s create a pretty and elegant Christmas card using the brand-new Ai WC Poinsettia Set (5828). We will be using the three sizes of the poinsettia images to create some very dimensional flowers. I also want to show you how you can easily use your dies to emboss your cards. This technique can be used with any of your dies!

Let’s begin by stamping the poinsettias onto some Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstock and then we can color them using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Sugared Almond Pink, Wine Red.

Using our detail scissors we can cut these out and then we can add some dimension using a sculpting mat and tools. Now we can layer these flowers. For the larger flower we will use all three sizes and for the smaller ones we will layer the medium and small flowers.

Let’s add a gold center to each flower using the Hero Arts Pearls in gold!

We can also die cut some greenery and berries using the Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits – Merry & Bright set. By adding more of the Hero Arts Pearls in the White we can give these berries a touch of elegance! And to the sprigs we can add the Tim Holtz pretty Rock Candy glitter!

Let’s die cut the snowflake frame from the Ai Snowflake Frame Set (5782). We will layer this frame onto some vellum paper and a pretty snowflake paper from the Ai Christmas S2 Paper Pack (5812). We can also stamp the word “magic” onto to the vellum paper using the Ai Christmas Sentiments Set (5566).

The beautiful “Christmas” die cut sentiment is from the Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits – Vault Series: Christmas 2021. We will die cut this from some pretty gold sparkle cardstock.

I’d like to show you a really fun and easy technique today. This technique will allow you to do some beautiful embossing using your dies! This is a great way to get more use from you dies! I’ll show you exactly how to do this in today’s video! I’ll be using the Spellbinders Platinum 6 Die Cutting machine, but you should use the instructions for your specific machine.

Let’s do a quick assembly of all of these wonderful elements! You could totally change this card by changing the color of the poinsettias and greenery.

Joyful Snowman Card w/ Pearl Paste

I’ve got a brand-new stamp and die set to show you today….and you are going to love it! It is the Ai Joyful Snowman Set (5802) and it include three of the most adorable festive snowmen and many coordinating sentiments.

Let’s get started by stamping and coloring the joyful snowman using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Haze Blue, Sky Blue, Lt Gray, Sugared Almond Pink, Carmine, Wine Red, Orange, May Green, Green.

Next, we can create the background for our scene card using the beautiful White Pearl Paste from Hero Arts and the Lawn Fawn Snowy Sky Stencil. This will give us some pretty pearl snowflakes!

Now we can add some ink blending to this background using the Hero Arts Core Inks in Mist, Periwinkle and Aegean using a small blending brush.

Next, we will die cut a frame for this card using the Ai Nested Rectangle Dies (5724) and some snowy borders from the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders Dies.

Let’s also stamp and color in some pretty packages and some berry and holly leaves from the Ai Christmas Mice Set (5459) in the same colors we used on our snowman.

For the sentiment we will use the “Warmest Holiday Wishes” along with a scallop circle from the Ai Journal Oval Frames (5588). The patterned papers are from the Ai Valentines PP (5741). Let’s also cut the red and white striped paper for the front of the card.

Next, we can add a few highlights with a white gel pen and now we can quickly assemble this fun holiday card!! You can easily switch the snowmen from this set using this same design…so I hope you have as much fun as I did with this wonderful new set!

Twisted Easel Snowflake Card!

Today we will be adding a little twist to a square card by creating a “twisted easel” card! I will give you all of the measurements for your cardstock, decorative papers and also the score lines needed to create this unique design in today’s video.

Let’s begin by die cutting the pretty Ai Large Snowflake Die (5353) as well as a few of the included snowflakes out of some sparkly cardstock. For the frame we can die cut three extras so that we can glue several frames together to give it a bit more substance and interest.

Next, let’s stamp the little snowman from the new Ai WC Snow Globe Set (5791) which also includes this snowman, church, trees, deer, sentiment, and the base of the snow globe.

For the scarf and hat, we will do a bit of paper piecing using the double-sided papers from the Ai Mini Paper Pack (5835). We can also color in the remainder of the snowman using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Pink Haze, Haze Blue, Bright Yellow, Brick Beige.

Now we can create the base and mechanism for this unique card…and again I will show you exactly how to do this in the video!

We will add some pretty plaid layering paper to the front and some dotted paper on inside of the card.

Let’s grab one more snowflake die from the Ai Large Snowflake Dies (5353) Set. This will also get layered up to create the piece that will hold our easel fold in place.

Finally, let’s assemble the card and add a few sparkly silver gems from the Buttons Galore & More Jewelz Collection!
