Let’s create a mixed media clipboard today using several wonderful products from Tim Holtz!

The main focal image for today’s project will be the vintage typewriter from the brand-new Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous – Curiosity Shop Stamp Set. I absolutely love this new stamp set which includes extra-large numbers, a four-leaf clover, pointing fingers, light bulbs, top hats, and sentiments!

We will add several layers of interest with some Tim Holtz Ephemera, Papers, Stickers, Pearls, Metal, Mica Spray and so much more!

To highlight the typewriter theme we will also use the Tim Holtz Sizzix 3D Texture Fades – Typewriter Embossing Folder and the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous – Documented Stamp Set.

There are just so many layers and elements that I will just refer you to the video for all of the details and instructions. This video is a little bit longer than my usual videos but again there are just so many fun details and I wanted to show you all of them!

Fun Floral Truck Card!

Today’s feature card was inspired by the current Ai Blog Challenge called “Birds of a Feather” which is to incorporate a bird or birds on your card or project!

I thought it would be fun to create a scene where the Ai Floral Truck Set (5511) would look like a little pop-up floral shop. So, let’s begin by stamping the images from this set, as well as a few birds from the Ai Birds and Bugs Set (5561), and a pretty topiary from the Ai Front Porch Garden Set (5486). All of the coloring today will be done using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Yellow, Bright Yellow, Lt Pink, Peach Pink, Lilac, Lt Violet, Deep Red Grape, Deep Vermillion, Deep Red, Lt Gray, Gray, Cool Gray 6, Beige, Mid Brown, Haze Blue, Lt Blue, Cobalt Blue, Persian Green, Blue Gray, Dk Agate, Lt Green, Green.

To ground the scene, we will be stamping a brick walk using the Sunny Studio Sprawling Surfaces Stamp Set. This set has three different images including this brick walk as well as wood planks and a stone path!

Once the brick walk is stamped and colored, we can add a pretty sky by ink blending some orange and yellow inks!

Next, we can assemble the card, popping up some of the items for added interest and dimension. Don’t forget to add those adorable little birds and bees! To layer up the card we will use some pretty polka dot paper from the Ai Easter S2 Paper Pack (5892).

We can also add some baker’s twine and tie a bow at the top of the card! And as you probably already know, I have been trying to complete my cards by adding a sentiment and an interesting element to the inside of the card. For this card, I added a sentiment from the Ai Mrs. Set (5405) which says, “Wishing you every Bloomin’ Thing!” and another cute flowerpot as well as a little bee!

Sending a Little Laughter – Get Well Card!

Let’s create a fun and funny get-well card using the Ai Get Well (SC0681) Stamp Set. This set has some great sentiments and images which will bring a smile to the face of someone who may be feeling a bit under the weather.

First, we can stamp the lady with the gigantic needle and the little pill bottles and color these using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Flesh Colour, Sugared Almond Pink, Peach Pink, Haze Blue, Lt Blue, Cobalt Blue, Turquoise Green, Lt Gray, Gray. Then we can cut these images out using your detail scissors.

For the front of the card, we will use some pretty polka dot paper from the Ai Mini Birthday Paper Pack (5873) and we will use some pink 100lb cardstock to frame the nurse.

Let’s grab the Ai Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies (5063) to die cut these papers, using the largest die. Now we can die cut the ovals from the front of each of these panels using the Ai Oval Double Stitched Dies (5065). I thought it would be fun to place these off the cardstock a little bit for a unique and whimsical look. I’ll show you how to create that pink frame in today’s video!

Before we assemble the card, let’s create a standard A2 size card and add a bit of stenciling using a brick stencil and some light blue ink. This will help to set the scene a bit better.

Let’s glue the two front panels together and then add some 3D foam tape and pop this up on our card. Now we can add our two sentiments for the front and inside of the card by die cutting a pretty stitched banner using the Ai Flag Double Stitched Dies (5133).

Let’s add a bit of ink around the sentiment banners and attach these to the card. Now we can add the pill bottles with some small foam squares.

For a finishing touch, let’s add some baker’s twine and tie a knot. For added interest, we can fray the ends of the twine and trim away any excess!

Spring Tulips Frame Card!

One day recently, I just couldn’t get my creative juices flowing so I sat and colored and cut out several of the Ai Small Easter Tulips (5894). I colored many more than I needed for this card, but it did help to get me out of my slump. Sometimes I find that I just need to do something easy and calming…which for me is coloring and fussy cutting with my detail scissors. Once these tulips were all colored, I added some Wink of Stella Clear Glitter and set them aside to dry. I came back to these a few days later and they inspired me to make today’s card!

Next, let’s stamp the pup using the Ai FB Sitting Dog (5780) and the little bees from the Ai Birds and Bugs Set (5561) and then we can do some quick coloring.

All of the coloring today was done using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Lt Green, Green, Yellow, Bright Yellow, Lilac, Lt Violet, Deep Red Grape, Haze Blue, Lt Pink, Beige, Mid Brown.

To make the images really pop I thought we would create a beautiful frame using the Ai Decorative Journal Page 1 Set (5768). However, this die was a solid die, so we need to cut out the center using the rectangle dies. I will show you exactly how to do this in today’s video. This is a great way to extend the use of your dies in a new and fun way!

For paper today we will be using the brand-new Ai Easter S2 Paper Pack (5892). To die cut these backgrounds we will be using the Ai Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies (5063) and to cut out the rectangle frame in the center we will be using the Ai Nested Rectangle Dies (5724).

Let’s assemble the card and add a few cute little sentiments using the Ai Mini Birthday Sentiment Set (5866). Lately, I have really been trying to do something a bit special on the inside of my cards as well. For this card, I added a cute little envelope using the Ai Journal Template Die Set (5543) and that gave me a fun way to add the sentiment, some tulips, and a few bees!

For a finishing touch, we can add a few sparkly embellishments around our little pup!

Let’s have some fun today creating a fun card using the brand-new Ai Girlfriends Gardening Set (5798). This adorable set includes three different images of these wonderful gardening ladies and the perfect coordinating sentiments!

We will begin by stamping this little lady with the gardening pots and we will also stamp and color some strawberries from the Ai Berries Set (5795). Then we will be coloring all of the images with the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Pale Yellow, Bright Yellow, Flesh Colour, Sugared Almond Pink, Geranium Red, Brown, Mid Brown, Beige, Blue Gray, May Green, Deep Green.

Next, we can create the card base with this fun lattice flap! I will show you exactly how to do this in today’s video! For the flap we will be using the Ai Decorative Journal Page Set 2 (5809). This card will measure 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ (standard A2 size).

Now we can grab some pretty patterned papers from the Ai Gnome Paper Pack (5832) and die cut the front panel with the same Ai Decorative Journal Page Set 2 (5809) we used to create the flap. Using our paper trimmer, we will cut the floral paper to 4″ x 5 1/4″.

Let’s assemble the card and add a fun sentiment from the Ai Little Things Sentiment Set (5797) that says ” Life is short, make it sweet!”. I thought it would be fun to have some extra strawberries falling from the basket as she was walking along. We can pop-up a few of these with some small adhesive foam squares.

This fun flap card is great for a birthday, best wishes or a friendship card!

Fun with Tim Holtz Oxide Sprays, Dies and Embossing Folders!

Let’s have some fun today playing with our Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Sprays to create a few backgrounds! I’ll be using some Strathmore Bristol Smooth 100lb Cardstock for the card panels. This cardstock will allow the ink to flow and blend nicely and is heavy enough to avoid too much warping.

I thought I would create a loose pastel rainbow effect on each of the panels. However, for one of them we will allow a lot more blending and for the other one we will try to keep the colors a bit more separate to get more of a rainbow look.

To do our spraying we will be using the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Sprays in the following colors: Spun Sugar, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Cracked Pistachio, and Salvaged Patina. I’ll show you in the video how I created the two different looks!

Once these panels are dry, we can grab the beautiful Tim Holtz Sizzix “Tapestry” Texture Fades embossing folder. This will add a beautiful pattern and wonderful texture to each of these panels. Although this embossing folder was released for the Fall/Halloween season, you will be amazed at how perfect it is for this card background!

Next, we can add a vintage look to the high spots on the embossed areas and some ink around the edges using the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink in Scorched Timber.

Let’s take a look at the Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits – Bloom, Colorize Die Set. There are two wonderful leaf sprays that we can die cut in some white cardstock. We will layer them using this white cardstock and then add some color by spattering the leaves with the various colors of Distress Inks. Let’s also add some Scorched Timber in around the edges.

For our sentiments, we will use the Tim Holtz idea-ology Quote Chips “Labels” set. This set has so many wonderful sentiments that it will be very hard to choose! We can ink around the edges of these quote chips as well.

Next, let’s assemble these items onto our card base which will be created using the Tim Holtz Distress Kraft Heavystock.

For a finishing touch, let’s add some beautiful Metallic Matte Gold Pearls!
