Christmas on the Farm – Ta Da! Diorama Card!

Today I am the Featured Artist for the brand-new Art Impressions “Farm Fresh” Blog Challenge! I’m really excited to be asked to create a card that includes anything farm related such as, hay bales, animals, barns, wagons, wheelbarrows, trucks, tractors, chicken coops, produce/veggies etc. So, I thought we would create this fun, interactive, diorama card!

I’m calling today’s card the “Christmas on the Farm” diorama card and we will be using the Ai Christmas Truck Set (5457) which includes a truck, tree, Christmas lights, presents, a candy cane, and a cute little signpost. We will also be grabbing the hay bales from the Ai Harvest Set (5598).

Let’s go ahead and stamp, color and cut the pieces that we will be using today. To do our coloring we will be using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Lt Pink, Wine Red, Orange, Yellow, Mustard, Ice Blue, Persian Blue, Lt Green, Deep Green, Lt Gray, Warm Gray 4, Beige, Mid Brown.

To create the diorama card base we will be using the Lawn Fawn Ta Da! Diorama! Set. This die set will cut and score all of the pieces that we will need to create this fun design. For paper we will be using the Ai Christmas S2 Paper Pack (5812). I’ll give you a detailed demonstration in the video for how to easily assemble this fantastic and fun diorama.

For the little signpost we will add a “Joy” sentiment using the Ai Christmas Sentiments Set (5566). This just looks so cute on our woodgrain sign!

Again, I will show you the assembly of the card base and all of the dies needed in this video! The end result is just so cute and interactive!

Mini Halloween Twister Card!

Let’s have some fun today and create a cute little Mini Halloween Twister Card! This interactive card is so much fun to create and to give! We will be using the Ai Mini Halloween Twister (5816) Set which includes several “twister” choices such as the little owl, a pumpkin, a ghost and a cat. This stamp set includes both the front and back of the images so that you can see them from both the inside and the outside of the card. The set also includes the dies necessary to create the “twister” mechanism and I will show you exactly how to do this in today’s video.

We will also be using the Ai Crooked Lamp & Signpost (5814) Set for the signage on the card. For the sentiments on the signs, we will use the Ai Journal Series Paper Pack (5849).

Now we will stamp, color and die cut the images, and to do the coloring we will be using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Yellow, Orange, Beige, Lt Brown, Mid Brown.

Let’s go ahead and create our spooky background for the front and inside of the card using the Ai Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Die (5063) Set, cutting the largest one for the front of the card and the second largest one for the inside of the card. To ink the backgrounds, we will be using the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks in Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. Using a blending brush, we can apply these to the background to get a really spooky look! We can spatter these backgrounds with water, white ink and metallic watercolors for lots of interest.

Now we will stamp a couple of branches on the background, and one will be a place for our owl to sit. Let’s also die cut our wrought iron fence a couple of times, a few bats, the “spooky” sentiment, and the “Happy Halloween” sentiment from the Ai Halloween Journal Die (5604) Set.

We will also die cut a stitched hillside border from some patterned paper using the Ai Journal Series Paper Pack (5849). We can ink up the edges of this border for a bit of a shadow.

Now we can create the opening for the “twister”, and I will show you exactly how to do this in the video.

Finally, let’s do the assembly by gluing the front and back of the owl together and place it in the “twister” opening! Let’s also assemble all of the other images on the inside and outside of the card!

Now you can twist and spin until your heart is content!!!

Fringed Floral Gift Card Pocket (Using Fabric, Buttons, Gems and Twine)

In today’s video we are going to create a super fun Fringed Floral Gift Card Pocket! This card was inspired by the current Art Impressions “Not Just Paper” Blog Challenge which is to create a card or project that isn’t just paper. So, let’s add some fabric, a button, some gems and a bit of twine to today’s card!

For our floral images and leaves we will be using the Ai My Hope Set (5936). This set also includes these really wonderful, stamped lines which we will be using on our pocket tag! The little butterflies are from the Ai Birds and Bugs Set (5561).

Let’s go ahead and stamp and color all of our images using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Ice Blue, Aquamarine Blue, Sea Green, Turquoise Green, Smoky Teal, English Lavender, Violet.

Now we can create our pocket and background panel using the Ai Fairy Garden Paper Pack (5939). We can die cut the pieces for the pocket out of the lavender polka dot paper and the background from the pretty coordinating floral paper using the Ai Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies. The Money Pocket Die Set is from Lawn Fawn!

We will add some fabric fringe to the outside edges of the pocket…love this look! Let’s also add a teal-colored button to the pocket with a bit of lavender and white twine tied in a knot.

Next, we can assemble the card base and pocket…and also add the florals, leaves and butterflies. To add a bit of sparkle we will add some Wink of Stella Clear Glitter to these items.

To create the tag for the pocket, let’s cut some patterned paper a bit larger than the gift card. On one side of the tag, we will stamp those lines that I mentioned earlier and then we can also stamp a sentiment using the Ai Friend Sentiments Set (5734). I was so happy when this sentiment fit perfectly on these lines!

We can add a flower and leave to the tag and then add a pretty gem to the centers of each of our flowers!

All we need to do is attach the gift card to the tag or just simply place it in the pocket if you don’t want to tape it down. This pocket would also be great for some money as well! You could also just simply write a sweet message on this tag and tuck it into the pocket if you prefer!

Halloween Magic Easel Shaker Card!

Today we will be creating an adorable Halloween Easel Shaker Card! To do this we will be using the new Ai Mini Scalloped Frame Dies (5902). This wonderful die set includes the dies needed to create a cute little frame pocket for your stamped images or photos. The set includes three oval dies that will allow you to create the opening for your frame. There is also a fun easel die, a circle die, and a banner die for your sentiments!

However, we are going to add a little twist to this frame by creating a shaker element! I will show you exactly how to assemble this shaker pocket for your frame in today’s video.

For paper we will be using the Ai Halloween S2 Paper Pack (5849). This will give us some spooky spider webs for the outside of the frame and some cute little sentiments for the inside of the shaker element.

The focal image is going to be this adorable little witch holding her little black cat. This fun image comes from the Ai Halloween Magic Set (5037).

Let’s go ahead and stamp and color this image using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Flesh Colour, Blossom Pink, Lt Violet, Deep Violet, Lt Green, Deep Green, Orange, Scarlet Red, Deep Red, Sand, Brown, Lt Gray, and Warm Gray 6.

Now we can assemble the base of our frame and shaker by adding some Scary Fun sequins in green, purple and orange for lots and lots of sparkle!

Next, we can add a cute spider and web in the corner using the Ai Web Dies (5462). Let’s also add a sweet sentiment using the banner die from the frame set and a sentiment from the stamp set that included the witch.

Finally, let’s add some more sparkle using the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen!

This fun easel design would be great for a teacher, co-worker, or friends desk! It is just so much fun to make and give!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! It’s STAMPtember time! I can’t wait to show you the most adorable stamp set that is the collaboration between Simon Says Stamp and Art Impressions. This set is called the “Sweet Bday” set and it will definitely make you both happy and hungry at the same time!

Keep in mind that this set is a limited-edition exclusive collaboration set and will only be available for a limited time or until it is sold out … so if you love it don’t wait to get yours!

These adorable little ladies are enjoying a massive stack of donuts and some coffee or a latte. There is also a separate stack of donuts with a birthday candle and several coordinating sentiments! We will be altering and personalizing these donuts a little bit in order to accommodate the pocket card that we will be creating today.

Let’s get started by stamping and coloring all of our images. All of the coloring will be done using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Flesh Colour, Sugared Almond Pink, Peach Pink, Lt Violet, Purple, Lt Blue, Persian Blue, Lt Green, Deep Green, Yellow, Orange, Beige, Mid Brown, Lt Gray, Warm Gray 6.

Once the coloring is done, we can add some fun little details using our gel pens in white, pink, purple, green, and blue. This is a great way to personalize your images!

Next, we can cut out the images using some detail scissors. I’ll show you how you can easily adjust the size of the donut stack to fit this pocket card design.

Now we can create our criss-cross pocket card base … and I will give you the exact measurements and instructions on the assembly of this pocket and layers in today’s video. For the layering papers we will be using the Ai Mini Birthday Paper Pack (5873). This double-sided paper will work nicely and coordinate perfectly with our green card base.

Next, we can create an insert for our pocket using that same paper pack and we will be adding a cute little tab to the top of this insert using the Ai Journal Rectangle Frames (5591).

Now we will stamp our sentiment onto the tab …. and I was so happy that it fit perfectly … and it says, “Have a Sweet Day!”. For the inside of the pocket, we will stamp another sentiment from this same set that says “Frappe’ Birthday!”.

For a finishing touch and a bit of sparkle, let’s add some sparkly gems!

This little pocket design is great for adding a gift card (to the donut shop…lol), photo, money or anything you like!
