NEW Story Tile Frame w/ Birthday Wishes Set!

Today we will be using the brand-new Ai Story Tile Template Die Set (6158) and a fun, festive Ai Birthday Wishes Stamp Set (6178). The 6 little images in this set include a pinata, balloons, presents, layered cake, party hat, and a birthday sentiment. This stamp set, as well as three other sets, were designed specifically for this beautiful frame. There is the Ai Garden Friends (6177), Ai Cottage Charm (6179), and Ai Dear Friend (6180) Sets. There is also a discounted bundle set which is a great deal!

I will list and link all of those products for you down in the product list section. Each of the sets has 6 designs which will fit perfectly into this pretty tile frame. It makes your card making super simple!

I thought it would be really fun to use a colorful rainbow theme on this card. So, let’s begin by die cutting the brand-new Ai Story Tile Template Die (6158) from some white cardstock. This will cut out each of the rectangles separately with a pretty stitched border around all of the openings. Now we can add color to each of the rectangles using our Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks in rainbow colors. Once we have added the color around the edges we can spatter each panel with its coordinating color.

Next, let’s stamp and color each of the images using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Wine Red, Orange, Yellow, Lt Green, Cornflower Blue, Violet, Lt Gray, Dk Gray, Beige, Mid Brown. Now we can fussy cut the images, leaving a little white border all the way around.

For added interest, we will use a variety of gel pen colors to add polka dots, stripes, plaids, etc. to each of the images.

Let’s create a standard A2 size card base and attach the frame, colored inserts, and pop-up each of the images.

Finally, we can add some sparkly gems and tie on a pretty bow!

Easy & Elegant Envelope Art!

I have been wanting to do some envelope art for a very long time and therefore, I was so thrilled and inspired by the current Ai “It’s in the Mail” Blog Challenge. This challenge is to create something in the postal genre’ by using your envelope dies, GC holder or MB envelopes, use mailboxes or create a matching envelope for a card.

For the frame images we will be using the Frameworks Stamp Sets #1 (5420) and Set #2 (6026). These sets have several pretty frames that are perfect for your envelope art! They create a great space for your name and address information.

We will also select some flower stamps from the Ai My Hope Set (5936) and the Ai His Love Set (6150).

But first, let’s create our own envelopes using some 90lb watercolor paper. I chose this paper for its lighter weight and the ability to watercolor our images very easily. The We R Makers Envelope Board has been around for a very long time, but it is perfect for creating your own personalized envelopes. You can use your pattern papers for this process as well. I will show you exactly how to use the punch board in today’s video. I’ll also show you how to easily create a pretty paper liner for each of the envelopes!

Now that our envelopes are made let’s begin by stamping a flower image onto the envelope and then we will stamp it again onto some masking paper and fussy cutting the masked image with your detail scissors. This entire process is much easier if you use your stamp positioning tool.

Now place this mask over the floral image and grab your favorite framework stamp. Go ahead and stamp the frame. Now you can remove the mask and it will look as though the floral image was always part of the frame image!

Let’s color the images using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Lemon Yellow, Yellow, Br Yellow, Lt Pink, Wine Red, English Lavender, Deep Violet, Lt Green, Deep Green.

To highlight the center of the frames a bit more we will ink blend some Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink into the center of the frames. You will want to use some Post-it Cover-up Tape around the edges of the frame before you begin ink blending.

Next, let’s spatter the envelopes with the coordinating inks to tie everything together!

Vellum Flowers – Creating, Coloring and Sculpting!

In today’s video I will be showing you a fun and easy way to color, sculpt and layer your vellum flowers! There are a few fun tips and tricks that I will share with you today as well.

Let’s begin by die cutting the vellum flowers and leaves from the Ai Flower & Bug Set (6041) and the Ai Corner Bookmark Dies (6042). This will give us three sizes of the flowers which we can stack together for a full and dimensional flower. Again, I will share with you in the video how these are colored and shaped for some really unique and beautiful florals.

Next, we can die cut the Ai Scalloped Square Dies (6047) using some white 100lb cardstock and then cut a square to fit inside this scalloped frame. We will emboss this panel using the Tim Holtz Sizzix Texture Fades – Vault Flourish or the Vault Botanical. Now we can attach these two together.

Let’s then add a silver panel and attach all of this to a square white card base. I will give you all of the dimensions in the video.

We can add our beautiful flowers to the corners of the card and add a sentiment. For the sentiment we will be using the Ai Encouragement Sentiment Promo Stamps (5956) and die cutting the ovals from the Ai Scalloped Oval Dies (6046) and the Ai Nested Oval Dies (5727). The “Thinking of You” sentiment will be embossed with a pretty Liquid Platinum embossing powder.

Let’s pop up the sentiment onto the center of the card front and add a few metallic silver gems to the center of each of the flowers and around the sentiment.

Love-ly Lavender Floral Card!

Today we will be using the Ai Floral Bouquet Set (5917) which contains four beautiful floral bouquets! Let’s begin by stamping with some clear embossing ink and embossing the image with some detail white embossing powder onto some white cardstock.

Next, we will color the floral image using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, English Lavender, Deep Violet, Turquoise Green, Persian Green.

Once the coloring is complete, we will spatter this panel using the Deep Violet pen and a spritz of water.

Now we can die cut the heart layers using the Ai Nested Heart Dies (5721) and some pattern paper from the Ai Encouragement PP (5955) and let’s also add some sparkle cardstock.

Next let’s create the background panel using the beautiful Lawn Fawn Quilted Heart Border. We will die cut this a few times using some patterned paper from that same paper pack and add a backing on each of the borders with some sparkle cardstock.

Now let’s cut a plaid rectangle and add these borders by equally spacing them along this panel. I’ll show you a little trick for lining these up perfectly in today’s video!

Now it’s just a matter of adding some additional layers in white, teal, and another piece of patterned paper.

We can pop-up the heart in the center of the card and add a few pretty sparkly gems for added dimension and interest!
