Simple and Easy Watercolor Floral Wreath!

I’m excited to be the featured artist for the new Ai “Round and Round” Blog Challenge! For today’s card, we will be using the double roses stamp from the Ai His Love Stamp Set (6150). This pretty duo of roses has a natural curve to it so it will be really easy to add these roses to a circular shaped wreath.

We will stamp 8 sets of the roses using the stamp positioner because once we have colored these roses, we will be stamping them again…just to darken them up a bit more!

For the water coloring, we will be using the Tim Holtz Distress Mini Ink Pads in Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry and Candied Apple. This watercolor technique is so easy and simple to do. We will apply of the inks directly onto the glass mat, add a spritz of water and place the stamped images directly into the ink. This will pick up a variety of the pinks and reds onto the roses. I’ll show you exactly how to do this in today’s video!

Now we can heat set the images and with the Candied Apple Ink we will apply a little bit onto each of the flowers using a #0 paintbrush. No need to be fussy…. just add a bit of this color onto the centers of the flowers for a bit of shadowing.

Let’s heat set these again and now we can place each of the flower duos into the stamp positioner and re-stamp them. They will line up perfectly because we have left them in the stamp positioner while we were coloring the images. By stamping the images again, we will get a nice dark black and crisp image! Now let’s fussy cut the roses with our detail scissors. We can also add some highlights using a white gel pen!

We will add a watercolor panel to the card by just spattering each of those same inks onto a white panel and them adding a bit of ink around the edges and add a black layer behind this panel. This will frame everything nicely!

Let’s die cut the Ai Scalloped Circle (6045) onto some pink cardstock and add a black circle behind it.

We can assemble the layers on the card but first let’s stamp the sentiment using the Ai Birthday Sentiments Set (5735). We will also go back to the Ai His Love Set and add the pretty heart and swirl border just below the “Birthday Blessings” sentiment.

We can pop-up the roses and add them to the scalloped circle. Let’s add a cute little black and white ribbon using some baker’s twine.

For a finishing touch, let’s add a few clear “iridescent” gems for a bit of sparkle!

Ornate Poppy Margin Gatefold Card!

Let’s get started by die cutting the brand-new beautiful Ai Ornate Margin Dies (6155). There are two borders in this set, so choose whatever one you like best! We will be doing a partial die cutting with this die so that we can get a wider border.

Now we can stamp the brand-new elegant Ai Poppy Margin Set (6163). This absolutely gorgeous stamp set contains two stamps with scroll borders. I love how the borders are the reverse of each other!

We are only going to use the floral portion of the stamp set for today’s card. To do that we will be masking off the scroll border using some temporary tape. Let’s also stamp a few cute bees using the Ai Honey Bee Set (5925).

Now we can color all of our images using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Yellow, Br Yellow, Orange, Red, Wine Red, Haze Blue, Ever Green, Moss Green, Dk Gray. There are coordinating dies for the bees, so let’s die cut those and set them aside.

Once the border is completely colored, we will add some ink blending around the edges of this border using some Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks in Mustard Seed and Gathered Twigs. We will also spatter the panel using the Mustard Seed ink!

Next, we will emboss the entire gatefold yellow card panel using this beautiful “Quilted Stars” embossing folder from Scrapbook.com. (I’ll show you how to create the gatefold design in today’s video). Once it is embossed, we will then rub a bit of pigment white ink over the high spots for added interest and to soften the look!

We will pop up the floral border onto the front of the card and add a nice gold border with some sparkly gold cardstock. Also, let’s will pop up the little bees and add a few “gypsy confetti” gems.

Let’s quickly finish the inside of the card by die cutting a scalloped rectangle panel using the Ai Scalloped Rectangle Dies (6048) and add some ink blending around the edges. Next, using the Ai Encouragement Sentiments Promo Set (5956) we will stamp and emboss the sentiment with some gold embossing powder. For a finishing look on the inside of the card we will add some of those same sequins and a few bees!

Finally, we will add an elegant white sheer ribbon. This will also act as a nice closure for the card; however, you could also create a belly band if you prefer!

Cottage Charm – Thinking of You Card!

Today we will be using the brand-new Ai Story Tile Template Die Set (6158) and the cute Ai Cottage Charm (6179 Set. This stamp set, as well as three other sets, were designed specifically for this beautiful frame. There is the Ai Birthday Wishes (6178), Ai Garden Friends (6177), and Ai Dear Friend (6180) Sets. There is also a discounted bundle set which is a great deal! I will list and link all of those products for you down in the product list section.

Let’s stamp, color and fussy cut all of our images. For the coloring we will be using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Lt Pink, Ice Blue, Sea Green, Yellow, Lt Gray, Dk Gray, Mustard, Beige, Mid Brown, Sand.

For the little basket on the bike, we will stamp some tiny hearts using the Ai His Love Set (6150) and we will also color and cut a little puppy from the Ai Dwelling Animal Set 1 (5991) and place him inside the basket….so cute!!!

Next, we will die cut the frame die but we will be cutting it down to a square shape. I thought it would be fun to show you how to change up the frame to suit your needs and to make it more versatile. I’ll show you exactly how I did this in today’s video!

For each of the panels that are die cut from the frame, we will add a blue sky and some white spattering. And then we can die cut the panels again with some green cardstock and cut them down a bit to create the look of grass.

For one of the panels, we will stamp the “Thinking of You” sentiment from the Ai Dear Friend (6180) stamp set and emboss it using some white embossing powder. Also, for a few of the panels we will add a picket fence using the Ai Box Village Template (6114).

Once we have cut down the frame, we will add it to a pretty pink plaid paper layer from the Ai Valentine’s Paper Pack S2 (6181).

Finally, for a few finishing touches we will add some hemp twine and sparkly sequins!

Spring Keepsake Frame Card!

We will be using the most adorable Ai Spring Keepsake Set (6106) today. It contains so many cute critters including a little rabbit, duck, and frog. And because it is part of the Keepsake Series it includes a pretty little clay pot and some tulips, a watering can, a birdhouse and there are also some fun coordinating sentiments in this set.

Let’s go ahead and stamp, die cut and color all of the images using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Pink Flamingo, Pale Rose, Pink Haze, Tea Rose, Yellow, Bright Yellow, Orange, Lt Brown, Beige, Sand, Mid Brown, Pale Green, Lt Green, Green, Smoky Teal, Plum Gray, Dk Gray. Using a white gel pen we can add some highlights and polka dots!

We will also be using the brand-new Ai Story Tile Template Die (6158). This will give us some nicely sized stitched openings to showcase each of our little images. We will die cut that from some kraft cardstock and again from some white cardstock.

For the white inserts, we will be adding a pretty cloudy background using the Lawn Fawn Cloudy Stencil. Then we will spatter a bit of the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink in the Speckled Egg on each of the panels.

Let’s quickly assemble the card by adding each of the white panels to the inside of the kraft cardstock frames. We will pop-up the images for some added interest and dimension. For the little birdhouse, we will add a ribbon using a black permanent marker and a pretty pink bow using some Lawn Fawn Hemp Twine in the Dusty Rose.

Finally, let’s add a few cute sentiments from this same set and then scatter some clear iridescent drops all around the card panel!

Toad-ally Lucky – St. Pat’s Day Card!

Let’s create a whimsical St. Patrick’s Day card today using the Ai Spring Keepsake Set (6106). The little frog from this set will be perfect for this card!

We will stamp the little frog and color him in using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Lt Pink, Lt Green, Deep Green. This is some really quick and easy coloring!

Next, we can die cut the frog, and to add some greenery around the frog we will die cut several leaves, stems and a mushroom from the Ai Fall Leaf Frame Die Set (5783) and the Ai Harvest Journal Die Set (5592). We will die cut the leaves and stems from some green cardstock and add a bit of color using the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink in Rustic Wilderness. And… don’t forget to add some tiny little wiggly eyes to your frog!

Now setting aside all of those pieces, we will die cut some gold metallic letters using the Ai Journal Letter Die Set (5562). We will spell out the words “toad-ally” and “lucky”. I’ll show you in the video how to lay these out easily on your card!

Let’s die cut an oval from some of that same metallic cardstock and a slightly smaller oval from some Kraft cardstock.

On the Kraft cardstock, we will have some fun stenciling using a four-leaf clover background. We will then stencil this design onto the Kraft cardstock using the wonderful Simon Hurley Lunar Paste in Fake Plant. Yes….that’s the name of it and I love it so much! This is the perfect green for our stenciled background.

We will create our square card base and spatter it using the Windsor Newton Gold Ink. Let’s spatter the stenciled oval as well.

Next, we can quickly assemble all of the pieces onto the card and for a bit more sparkle we will add a few sparkly sequins!

Fun Overlay Stamped Background!

Hello and Welcome!

Today I wanted to show you a simple yet fun card using the Ai Stay Hydrated Stamp Set (5928). We will use this stamp set to create a simple background. With this set you can stamp the thermos design and then select one of the overlay stamps for the pattern on the thermos. There are several choices to include a leopard print, paw prints, Aztec design, and a tiger print! So, there are lots and lots of choices to personalize your cards and we are going to use them all today!

We will stamp the images onto some white cardstock and then using the Tim Holtz Distress Mini Ink Pad in the following colors (Shaded Lilac, Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral, Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers) we will stamp the overlay images.

Now we can create the standard A2 card base in white and add a pretty pink scalloped rectangle using the Ai Scalloped Rectangle Die Set (6048). We can cut down the background panel to fit into the scalloped rectangle and attach these two together. Now, let’s tie a piece of dusty rose twine around this scalloped rectangle and pop it up on the card.

We can stamp and color our little lady using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Lt Gray, Lt Pink, Turquoise Green, Yellow, Beige, Mid Brown, Flesh Colour. Let’s take the coordinating die and cut her out. We will also die cut the lady one more time onto some black cardstock. This black silhouette image will get attached behind the one that we colored in to create a bit of a shadow and to make the image stand out from the background. You will want to offset it a little bit!

Finally, we can attach the lady to our card! This is a simple yet impactful card that can be used for a variety of occasions including birthday, friendship, thinking of you, and so much more!

Let’s create a few super fun birthday cards using the Lawn Fawn Pull n’ Slide Suprise Die Set. I will show you exactly how to create this interactive card in today’s video and I’ll also give you some tips and tricks for easy assembly!

We will also have a giant sentiment on the pop-up portion of the card. For this “Let’s Celebrate” sentiment we will be using the Lawn Fawn Giant Let’s Celebrate Die. We will give this a pretty color by using a variety of ink and some simple ink blending. And we will also add the “Have a Happy Birthday!” sentiment using the Lawn Fawn Berry Special Stamp Set.

For added fun when you open the card, we will stencil some colorful candles using the Lawn Fawn Birthday Candles Stencils.
