Today we are going to create a fun tri-fold shape card using the Scrapbook.com Nested Coffin Dies and lots of products from the Tim Holtz collections including the Layers and Paper Dolls, Baseboards, Stickers, Distress Inks, Distress Spritz and Distress Crayons!
We will begin by creating the tri-fold card base using the largest coffin die. We will die cut two shaped card bases and attach them together to create the tri-fold design. I’ll show you exactly how to do this in today’s video!
Next, we will use the largest and second largest coffin dies to create an opening on the front panel of the card as well as a separate frame for the inside of the card. Let’s also die cut an acetate coffin and sandwich it between the two frames. Now we can attach all of these together.
Using some white Strathmore Bristol Smooth 100lb cardstock we will die cut the second largest coffin and we will ink this up to create a night sky with a spooky moon using the TH Stampers Anonymous Moon Mask. We will also add some clouds using the Lawn Fawn Cloudy Stencil. Let’s also spatter this panel with the TH Distress Spritz for added shimmer. Go ahead and attach this to the card. I will give you a little tip today for lining this up perfectly inside that window!
Now let’s grab some fun ephemera to decorate the card using the TH Layers and Paper Dolls – Halloween, the TH Baseboards – Halloween, and the TH Sticker Book – Halloween.
We will edge each of the ephemera items with some black ink and we will add some color to the flowers and the gentleman using the TH Distress Crayons.
Let’s add a chipboard sentiment and some sticker sentiments to finish up the card!
