Let’s start by creating some beautiful backgrounds using the Tim Holtz Alcohol Pearl Inks! We will be using the Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink Dura Bright in Black Opaque Matte for our inking surface. This synthetic paper will allow the inks, mixatives and blending solution to blend nicely and easily. In the video I will talk more about the different effects and looks that you can get using these alcohol pearl inks.
We will then add a bit of iCraft Deco Foil in gold and silver to these backgrounds. This will also give some increased sparkle and elegance to the backgrounds.
Next we can die cut the Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits Flower Field Die in some heavyweight black cardstock. And then we will grab a sentiment from the Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits Bold Text #1 Die Set which will say “Make a Wish”. We will die cut the sentiment out of this black cardstock and then we will place the letters back into place using the Tim Holtz idea-ology Kraft-stock Metallic Classics in gold and silver. I’ll also show you a few little tricks for easily placing these letters back into place!
Let’s add a beautiful butterfly to each of our cards using the Tim Holtz idea-ology Botanical Layers!
Finally, let’s add a few sparkly gems for added interest and dimension. We will be using the Pinkfresh Studio Metallic Pearls in Sparkling Champagne and the Buttons Galore and More Jewel Embellishments in Silver!
