Matchbook Chickens w/ Matching Envelope!

I’ve got a wonderful new matchbook to show you today! This is the Ai Matchbook Chickens Set which includes the ,cutest little chicken coop, some baby chicks, hens, and so much more! There was just something about this set that just made me want to use bright and fun colors in pinks, purples, yellows and greens! We even have purple fences!

Just keep in mind that you will need the MB Template Dies (5317) to create the base of the card and you will need the MB Envelope Dies (5318) to create the coordinating envelope. I will talk more about these die sets in the video and I will give you all of the instructions for assembling the little matchbook and envelope!

These are so much fun to create and collect. There are LOTS AND LOTS of matchbook designs to choose from but I think you will really love this little chicken coop!

The new release also includes the following Matchbook Sets: MB Cat (5730) and MB Tool Shed (5729)! These new sets are just so cute and will be a great addition to your Matchbook collection! Let’s stamp and color all of our images! All of the coloring today was done using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Sugared Almond Pink, Peach Pink, Lilac, Yellow, Orange, Lt Green, Lt Blue, Deep Red, Beige, Sand, Gray Brown, Lt Gray.

For paper we will be using the Ai Easter Journal 6″x6″ Paper Pad. This double-sided paper pad is so pretty and colorful that it will be perfect for our fun, festive chicken scene!

SLIDER CARD – Bunny Front & Back!

Let’s create super fun SLIDER CARD using the Ai Bunny Front and Back (5732)! This little set includes both the front and back of the bunny which will be perfect for creating our slider card. This will allow the bunny to be seen from the outside and inside of the card…..which is super cute!!!

To get started I will show you how to easily cut the cardstock to create the card base. Once this is done we can create the background for our card. To create the grassy border we will mask off the bottom portion of the card and use the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks in Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn.

To create the clouds in the sky we will be using a two part cloud stencil from the Lawn Fawn Collection. Again be sure to mask off the bottom of the card. We will ink the stencil using the Versamark Ink Pad and then we will add some white embossing powder to give the clouds some texture and dimension. This will also allow us to ink over the top of the clouds with some Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink in Salvaged Patina. Once we have completed the inking we can wipe off any excess ink on top of the clouds with a paper towel.

Next we can stamp and color all of our images using the the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Sugared Almond Pink, Peach Pink, Lemon Yellow, Yellow, Bright Yellow, Orange, English Lavender, Purple, Lt Green, Aquamarine Blue, Turquoise Green, Lt Brown, Lt Gray, Cool Gray #3. The images we are using are from the Ai Bunny Front and Back (5732), Ai Bunny & Chicks Set (5737), and the Ai Easter Egg House Set (5738).

In the video I will give you all of the details and instructions on cutting and assembling the slider mechanism for this card. It’s very simple and easy to do!

We will stamp “Hippity Hoppity” on the front of the card and “Just hopping by to wish you joy this Easter day” on the inside of the card. These cute sentiments are from the Ai Easter Sentiments Set (5733). There a loads of fun Easter sentiments in this stamp set!

Finally, we can assemble our card and have fun watching that sweet little bunny slide back and forth…so much fun!!!

Pivot Pop-up Card – Bunnies and Chicks!

For my feature card today, and to kick off our new Ai Blog Challenge, we will be using some brand new images from the Art Impressions Spring 2023 Release to create a super fun and interactive PIVOT-POP UP card! This challenge is to create both the inside and front of your card….so this card will really highlight the inside of our card in a special way!

We’ve got the cutest little bunnies and chicks from the Bunny and Chicks Set (5737) and some festive Easter eggs and a cute little basket from the Easter Egg House Set (5738). These images are part of the Ai Watercolor Journal Series but we will be using them a bit differently today!

Let’s go ahead and stamp, color, and cut out all of our images using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Sugared Almond Pink, Peach Pink, Pink, Lemon Yellow, Yellow, Orange, Lt Violet, Purple, Lt Blue, Lt Green, Turquoise Green, Deep Green, Lt Brown, Beige, Mid Brown, Lt Gray, Platinum Brown. We will leave a little white border all the way around the images when we cut them out.

To set the scene for our card we will be using the brand new Ai Easter Journal Series Paper Pack (5742). This paper is just perfect for Easter and Spring cards! Lots of pastels and pretty patterns! The sky will be die cut from the pastel blue polka dot paper and the ground will be a purple floral pattern. This will look like a beautiful field of flowers!

Now we can create the Pivot Pop-up mechanism for the inside of the card. I will give you all of the instructions for die cutting and assembling this mechanism in today’s video!

We can attach all of our cute little images to the card and pop-up. We will also die cut a collections of pretty clouds for the sky. On two of the clouds, on the front of the card, we will be stamping “Hippity” and “Hoppity” in a soft blue color. And for the inside of the card we will be using the brand new Ai Nested Oval Dies to create a cute place for our inside sentiment which says “Easter’s on its way!”. All of these sentiments are from the brand new Ai Easter Sentiments Set (5733).

Happy Spring Slimline Flip Card -NEW RELEASE!!!

Today we will be creating a super fun flip card using a BRAND NEW RELEASE from Art Impressions! The cute little bunny images are from the Happy Spring Flip Card Set (5736). This set includes the bunnies that you will need for the outside of the flip card, the inside of the flip card, and a spring sentiment! However, please note that you will need the Ai Flip Card Die Set (5103) in order to create the flip card mechanism.

We can start by creating the card base using the flip card die. Although there are measurements on the packaging for a standard A2 size card, we will be creating a slimline card today, so I will give you all of the measurements to create this slimline style card.

Let’s start by cutting the card panels using the Ai Slimline Die Set (5463). We will cut two panels from some pretty turquoise cardstock for the sky on the inside and outside of the card. Then we can cut one from some lime green cardstock to create our grassy borders. These dies will give us a nice stitched border all the way around!

To set the scene we will be using a pretty cloudy stencil and some white and blue inks to give the clouds a bit more interest and dimension.

We will need to grab that flip die one more time in order to cut a notch out of the inside card panel. I will show you a quick and easy way to do this!

Now we can stamp and color the cute little bunnies using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Sugared Almond Pink, Lt Carmine, Purple, Yellow, Orange, Lt Green, Deep Green, Turquoise Green, Gray Brown, Mid Brown, Beige, Lt Gray.

Let’s also die cut some tiny flowers using the Ai Garden Mini Dies (5336) using some pretty patterned papers in a variety of pastel colors. We can add an orange center to each of the flowers and then add a bit of glaze to the centers for additional dimension and shine!

For our “Happy Spring” sentiment we will create a striped panel and add a fun banner from the Ai Slimline Die Set (5463)! It will look like our little bunnies are holding up this sentiment banner!

Art Impressions Outside-In Easter Card

Let’s create a fun and whimsical Outside-In Easter Card using the adorable little bunny from the Ai Sending Love Cubbies Set (5221). We will create a little bunny window and a cute scene to go on the front of our card and then we will position the bunny on the inside of our card so that she peeks out the window and lines up perfectly! This is a fun way to add a shaped window to your cards!

We will create a beautiful sky using a cloudy stencil and we will also create a grassy border with some pretty flowers for the front of our card. We will also stamp and die cut some Easter eggs to fill her apron and also sprinkle some of these in our grassy border. Let’s also add a few delicate butterflies! Art Impressions – New Release – Easter Front Porch Door Card!

I’m so excited to be showing you some images from the Art Impressions new Spring 2022 Release! Today we will be using the new Front Porch Door Set (5512) and the Front Porch Easter Set (5488). Do keep in mind that these two sets are sold separately…but once you have purchased the Front Porch Door Set you will be able to use it will all of the other add-on sets including the Easter Set, Garden Set, Party Set, and Farmhouse Set!!! I already have something fun planned for the Farmhouse Set…so keep and eye out for that!

First, we will stamp, color and die cut our our door. When you die cut this door it will cut our the windows and it will allow the door to open and close for a fun interactive touch!

Next, we will stamp, color and die cut out all of the elements in the Front Porch Easter Set in order to create a beautiful Easter doorway! This Easter set contains some lovely flowers, and egg wreath, and Easter basket, a few cute little birdhouses, a cart full of bunnies, and much more….plus you will get several coordinating sentiments! But…don’t forget to mix and match your other Ai Sets…the Matchbook images would work really well with this front door!

For our background, we will be using a fun brick stencil! We will be spattering the brick pattern with inks … to add some texture and interest!

I’m so thrilled to be showing you this brand new stamp and die set from the Ai Spring 2022 Release! There are bunnies, chicks, and eggs … oh my! This adorable set is called the Happy Spring Set (5504) and includes the coordinating dies.

Let’s create a happy Spring parade! To set the scene, we will be starting with a piece of Kraft cardstock which we will die cut using the Rounded Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Die Set (5062), and we will spatter it with some white gesso and then we will round the corners to soften the edges just a bit.

Next, lets create two panels using the Slimline Die Set (5463). Now we can create some sun rays using a super fun shifter stencil and some beautiful Distress Oxide Inks. I will show you how to use this unique shifter style stencil for a perfect blended look!

Now we can color all of these adorable images which includes a bunny in a carrot car, a bunny pulling a cart full of flowers, a little chick that is carrying an Easter egg, lots and lots of sentiments, and so much more!!! We will color all of our images using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Pale Yellow, Bright Yellow, Yellow, Orange, Lt Pink, Peach Pink, Lt Violet, Lt Green, Green, Turquoise Green, Cobalt Blue, Beige, Mid Brown, Dark Brown, Brick Beige

For some added interest and whimsy we will add some little “candy” embellishments in a variety of pastel colors!

This card will measure 5″x7″…so is a bit larger but works perfectly for this fun filled scene!

Let’s create a fun Spring themed birthday card using the adorable Ai Duck Stackers Set (4738)! And then…let’s have the top duck holding a birthday cake which comes from the Ai Birthday Cake Set.

To set the scene for our card, we will create a beautiful sky using the new Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink Pad in Saltwater Taffy and we will also add some Abandoned Coral for a bit of shadowing in the sky! Then we will do some spattering with water to add additional interest.

For the grassy border, we will be using Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Inks. I will show you how to easily mask off the grass and the sky using some masking paper. This is simple and easy to do! And….to add a little interest to the grassy border we will use the grassy clusters from the Ai Bible Foliage Set (5073). These are perfect for adding a whimsical look to your grass!

Let’s also add a cute little fence border using the Ai WC Fence Dies (4967) and some pretty flowers using the Ai Glamour Pop-ups Set (5355). We will also be using the Happy Birthday sentiment from this set as well.

We will add a bit of sparkle with some pretty gem stones! We will also add some birthday candles and a fun sentiment to the inside of the card….this will tie everything together!

Let’s create a simple yet elegant Easter Card today! Our main image…the beautiful little egg ornament stamp…is from the Ai Hoppy Easter Set (4754). I love looking through my stamp sets and looking for images that can be used in a different way. In this case, by using just this one tiny ornament we can create a stunning card by just repeating this image for a large impact.

We will also stick to that simple black and white theme by creating a textural striped background using some white stencil paste. I’ll give you a few tips and tricks for working with the stencil paste and a more delicate stencil design like the one used here!

When I am trying to keep my design very simple, I often try to find ways to add texture and interest. In this case, we will add extra layers of cardstock in black, white and a pretty silver metallic along with the stenciling paste!

We will also add some Nuvo Dream Drops….which have a luminescent quality to them….just beautiful! There is just a hint of coloring with a light gray marker.

This card was inspired by the current Ai Blog Challenge – Black Tie Affair! This challenge is to create a simple black and white card…with a little pop of color…if you wish! It sounds easy but it definitely pushes you to use your imagination to give the card texture and interest with this simple color palette. Let’s create some pretty pastel Easter TryFold Notecards and some elegant coordinating vellum envelopes! We will be using the Ai Sweet Easter Set (5004) for our floral images and sweet sentiments. We will also be using the beautiful Ai Lily Border Set (5374) to create our background. These two sets really work well together!

These fun three fold notecards are from the Art Impressions Collection and each package contains 8 cards and matching envelopes, however, we will be creating our own vellum envelopes to fit this smaller size card. I’ll show you how to simply do this using an envelope punch board!

To get started, we will be using our MISTI Stamp Positioner so that we can mass produce these cards in a very quick and easy way! I’ll give you a few tricks for lining up these images and for doing some repeat stamping.

We will create three pastel colored cards using the mini dye ink pads from the Tim Holtz Collection in Shaded Lilac, Kitsch Flamingo and Squeezed Lemonade! I kept the colors on each card in a monochromatic color palette. In this way, we can add lots of dimension and texture by stamping, blending, and spattering in the one color….and this gives us a beautiful effect!

Again, these cards are a fun trifold design, which will allow for plenty of room inside for a handwritten note or you could even tuck a gift card inside!

Let’s do some coloring using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in Pink Haze, Lt Pink, Lemon Yellow, Yellow, Pale Green, Lt Green, Lilac, Violet, and Lt Gray and we will use the Blender Pen to do all of the blending.

Finally, we will add some pretty sparkling gems and also use some pretty pastel twine to add a bow, which will make these cards just a bit more special!
