Lawn Fawn Build-A-Drink Root Beer Add-on Cards!

Today let’s create two fun interactive Flop-Cards using the new Lawn Fawn Build-a-drink Root Beer Add-on Dies. This fun die set is a wonderful addition to the “Build-a-drink” series. The original sets included the LF Build-a-drink and the LF Build-a-drink Cocktail Add-on. Keep in mind that these sets can all be mixed and matched to create some wonderful projects! I have done videos on both of these original sets which I will link here for you:

In today’s video I will show you exactly how to cut and score your cardstock to create this fun interactive card design. Once we have created the card base, we can add some fun stenciling using the LF Paint Spatter Background Stencil. This will make it look like the root beer and beer have splashed across our cards.

Next, let’s grab these fun new dies and die cut them from some white smooth cardstock and then we can color them using a blending brush and a variety of inks. For the liquid we can splatter these with a bit of water to create the look of bubbles!

With a few layers of coordinating cardstock, we can layer some plaids and solids and a pretty woodgrain pattern to set the scene for the cards.

For the sentiments, we can use the LF Berry Special Stamp Set for the “Have a Happy Birthday” and let’s use an alphabet die set to die cut the letters for the word “beer-y” out of some coordinating cardstock.

For a finishing touch we can add a few clear gems to enhance that bubbly look!

These cards are so quick and easy to make that you will want to create several of them and keep them in your stash for future birthdays!

Mini Christmas Twister w/ Layering Stencil Background!

Today we will be creating a super fun twister card using the brand-new Ai Mini Christmas Twister (5815) Set. This stamp and die set include several holiday twisters. We have got this adorable Santa, a sweet little snowman, a stocking full of gifts and the “JOY” sentiment! It also includes the dies that are necessary to create the spinner mechanisms and die cut all of the images.

Let’s start off by coloring the front and back of the Santa’s face. We will be using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Sugared Almond Pink, and Flesh Colour. To color the Santa suit we will be using the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink in Lumberjack Plaid.

Next, we can die cut the front and back of the Santa using the dies that are included in the set. We can also use this same set to die cut a pretty metallic frame in gold.

To set the scene for the card we will be stenciling a beautiful background using the Lawn Fawn Winter Sprigs Background Layering Stencil. We will again use the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks for this process….and all of the colors will be listed below.

We can create the “Gate Fold” card base using some heavy weight 100lb Kraft cardstock. I’ll show you exactly how to do this in today’s video and I will also give you the measurements for the front panels and for the inside card panel.

Next, we can die cut the opening for the mini spinner. You may have to run this through the die cutting machine a few times since we are die cutting a few layers of heavy cardstock. Now we can glue the frame in place.

And… for the fun part…. let’s pop our little Santa into the spinner mechanism and watch it spin!

Let’s also add a fun belt buckle to the front of the card using the Ai Mini Journal Template (5718). Once this has been die cut we can add a bit of texture to it using the Tim Holtz 3D Texture Fades in Cracked Leather. Then go ahead and center this on the front of the card… remember to only put glue on the ends of the buckle! I thought this would serve a couple different purposes by giving us a fun closure for the card and it also mimics the belt buckle on Santa’s suit!

Using the Ai Mousey Christmas (5564) we can grab a cute sentiment that says, “Have a Holly Jolly Christmas!” and stamp it using that same Lumberjack Plaid ink. We can also die cut this sentiment using a pretty die from the Ai Mini Journal Template (5718) Set.

REVERSE FLIP CARD – Lawn Fawn – You’re the Zest Card!

For today’s card we will be creating a super fun “REVERSE FLIP CARD” using the Lawn Fawn “You’re the Zest” stamps and dies!

Let’s get started by stamping and coloring all of our little lemons. For the coloring we will be using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Lemon Yellow, Yellow, Lt Brown, Dark Oatmeal, Lt Green, and Deep Green. I stamped and colored about a dozen lemons for the card front and inside of the card. Let’s also use our white gel pen to add a few dots to the lemons to make them pop a bit more!

Now we can create the card base for this reverse flip card design. I will show you exactly how to create this card and I will give you all of the measurements in the video.

For the background we will be using the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink and Spray in Salvage Patina. This color will look so pretty with our yellow lemons!

We can create a few square layers for our sentiment which is included in the stamp set and it says “Squeeze the Day”. Now we can draw some pretty stitched lines around the sentiment for some added interest!

We will be using the Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiments Banners to create the sentiment for the inside of our card. This sentiment will say “You’re the Zest” and also comes included with the stamp set.

This stamp set also comes with several cute little smiley faces that you can stamp on each of your lemons if you prefer that….this will give a more whimsical look to your card!

Next we can quickly assemble the card and a few baubles and sequins in yellow to coordinate with the lemons! This card would be great for a birthday card or best wishes card!

This finished card will need a bit larger envelope….approximately 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″. Keep in mind that the square envelopes and cards will cost you a bit more in postage!

Happy Spring Slimline Flip Card -NEW RELEASE!!!

Today we will be creating a super fun flip card using a BRAND NEW RELEASE from Art Impressions! The cute little bunny images are from the Happy Spring Flip Card Set (5736). This set includes the bunnies that you will need for the outside of the flip card, the inside of the flip card, and a spring sentiment! However, please note that you will need the Ai Flip Card Die Set (5103) in order to create the flip card mechanism.

We can start by creating the card base using the flip card die. Although there are measurements on the packaging for a standard A2 size card, we will be creating a slimline card today, so I will give you all of the measurements to create this slimline style card.

Let’s start by cutting the card panels using the Ai Slimline Die Set (5463). We will cut two panels from some pretty turquoise cardstock for the sky on the inside and outside of the card. Then we can cut one from some lime green cardstock to create our grassy borders. These dies will give us a nice stitched border all the way around!

To set the scene we will be using a pretty cloudy stencil and some white and blue inks to give the clouds a bit more interest and dimension.

We will need to grab that flip die one more time in order to cut a notch out of the inside card panel. I will show you a quick and easy way to do this!

Now we can stamp and color the cute little bunnies using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Sugared Almond Pink, Lt Carmine, Purple, Yellow, Orange, Lt Green, Deep Green, Turquoise Green, Gray Brown, Mid Brown, Beige, Lt Gray.

Let’s also die cut some tiny flowers using the Ai Garden Mini Dies (5336) using some pretty patterned papers in a variety of pastel colors. We can add an orange center to each of the flowers and then add a bit of glaze to the centers for additional dimension and shine!

For our “Happy Spring” sentiment we will create a striped panel and add a fun banner from the Ai Slimline Die Set (5463)! It will look like our little bunnies are holding up this sentiment banner!

This is the Ai Harvest Together Set (5507) and this set has the most adorable little scarecrows (a boy and a girl) and two cute little crows and the sweetest sentiments that coordinate perfectly with these images! This fun set also includes the matching dies…which I always appreciate so much!

Today we will be creating a fun and interactive Flip-Flop card! I will show you how easy this is to create and give you some tips and tricks for lining everything up perfectly!

For our coloring today we will be using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Shadow Pink, Sand, Plum Gray, Plum Mist, Deep Vermillion, Warm Gray 3, Smoky Teal, Smoky Yellow, Dk Yellow, Ever Green, Yellow, Mustard, Orange, Lt Gray, Dk Gray, Mid Brown.

Once everything is colored and die cut using the coordinating dies, we can start to work on our pretty backgrounds. Let’s start by cutting two card panels from the Ai Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies (5063) Set. We will be using a Sunray Stencil and some Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks to create a nice ink blended (sunray) sky!

Next we can do some spattering on these two backgrounds using water and then some metallic watercolors…this will give lots of interest and a bit of sparkle!

Now let’s create our card base using some Kraft cardstock. In the video I will give you all of the measurements and scoring requirements to create the flip-flop mechanism and instructions for die cutting the card panel background to fit this mechanism.

We can quickly stamp a sentiment from this same set and use some label dies from the new Ai Journal Template Die Set (5543) to make this pop! I’ll show you a quick tip for centering this on the inside of your card!

Let’s attach all our little elements to the card and now we have completed this fun interactive Fall scene!

Flip-Flop Card – Big Birthday Wishes!

Let’s create a super fun flip-flop card using this fun and funky birthday cake! This cake is from the Ai Birthday Cake Set (5255) and the sentiment “Big Birthday Wishes” is from the Ai Big Birthday Wishes Set (SC0794).

I will show you a quick and simple way to create this flip-flop design. There are other ways to create this type of card but I wanted to show you this very simple shortcut method. I’ll give you all of the easy measurements for die cutting and folding your card!

To do our coloring today we will be using the Tombow Dual Tip Markers (055, 062, 873, 905, 451, 452, N95) and the Zig Blender Pen to do our blending. Our color palette today will be a combinations of blues, yellows and coral. This will make for a pretty color combination!

We will die cut two card panels for the inside of our card using the Ai Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Die Set (5063) and to create look of confetti on our background we will be spattering the two card panel inserts using some Distress Oxide Sprays in Abandoned Coral, Saltwater Taffy and Squeezed Lemonade.

For a bit of sparkle and dimension we will add some little sparkly gems, a touch of the Wink of Stella glitter pen, and some clear glaze!

Art Impressions Snowman Flip-Flop Card w/ Pastels

Hello and Welcome!!!

I’ve got a really fun Flip-Flop winter card to show you in todays video!

We will be using the Snowman Pop-ups Set (5358) a little bit differently today. Rather than making the pop-up for the inside of our card we will use the stamp and the die to create this flip-flop card! I will provide you with step-by-step instructions on cutting this die in order to create the flip-flop mechanism. And….I’ll show you why this particular die makes creating this style of card even easier!!!

The coloring will be done using the beautiful Palette Pastels from the Jane Davenport collection. I’ll show you some easy blending and shadowing techniques.

To create the beautiful snowflakes we will be using the Lg Snowflake Dies (5353) and we will be cutting them out of some beautiful sparkly glitter cardstock!

Hello and Welcome!

In today’s video and card we will be creating a fun flop card using the new Lawn Fawn Magic Iris Birdhouse Add-on Set!

To set the scene for this Valentine’s Day Card we will create a beautiful sky using the Lawn Fawn Cloudy Stencil and the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink in Speckled Egg!

Also, I will show you how to create this flop card design. It is so easy to create this design with some simple partial die cutting. We will be creating a 4”x6” card so I will show you how to extend your paper for this longer design as well.

We will add some lovely vines and flowers to this design….which come in the Birdhouse Die Set!!!! Also, we will be using the beautiful and versatile “Let it Shine” Petite Paper Pack….which I really love! The little birdie is from the brand new “Special Delivery” Stamps and Dies Set.

Happy New Year!!! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season! I thought we would kick off the new year with a fun flip card using some of the new stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn. I will show you how to create this quick and easy flip card and the best part is that you can easily adapt this technique to many other images that you may already have!
