Art Impressions Lawn Ranger Slimline Card

Let’s have some fun today by creating a special masculine birthday card! We will be using the adorable Ai The Lawn Ranger Set (4102) to create this little scene. In addition to this set I thought it would be great to add a few more elements to this fun loving lawn mower man card! I thought he needed his loyal friend on the front of the mower and a flag on the back from the (Ai Enjoy the Ride Set -5186) and a drink from the (Ai Travel Accessories Set – 5508), a cute little bird looking on from the (Ai On the Sparrow Set – 5170). Let’s also add some fencing using the Ai WC Fence Dies (4967).

To create our sunshiny sky we will be using a stencil and some Distress Oxide Inks in Crackling Campfire, Wild Honey, and Scattered Straw! Next I’ll show you how I created this perfectly mowed lawn using some temporary tape and a few more Distress Oxide Inks in Twisted Citron and Rustic Wilderness.

This guy mowing the lawn actually looks like he would be a lot of fun to have around!  What guy wouldn’t love to receive this adorable card??? The sentiment that comes with the set says “Happy Birthday to the “Lawn Ranger”…..love that!!!

We will then place our scene on a slimline card using the Ai Slimline Dies Set (5463). Just have some fun digging through all of your sets to see what you might want to add to your fun “Lawn Ranger” scene.

All of the coloring was done using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Sugared Almond Pink, Tea Rose, Flesh Color, Orange, Deep Vermillion, Smoky Teal, Lt Gray, Beige, Lt Brown, Gray, Dk Brown.

Art Impressions Let’s Par-tee w/ Stenciled Plaid

In todays video we will be creating two super fun golf themed cards with lots of plaid! This card was inspired by the current Ai Blog Challenge! This challenge is called “Perfect Plaid” and it will challenge you to create a card or project using a plaid somewhere in your design!

For stamps today we will be using the Ai Par-tee Golfers Set (4902)! This is the perfect set to create both a masculine and feminine version of this fun card! We will also be using the Ai Block Letters Set (5072) to die cut some letters for our project.

To set the scene for our cards we will create some great plaid designs using a two part stencil and some beautiful Distress Oxide Inks! We will also create a beautiful cloudy sky using another great cloud stencil and we will die cut and color some grassy borders for our scene.

The word “PAR” will be highlighted in our plaid design and we will do this a a few different ways! These large square cards will measure 6″x6″…so the postage will be a little bit more….but you can always hand deliver these!

Art Impressions – New Release – Beach Truck Slimline Card!

Hello and Welcome!!!

Today we will be using the brand new Floral Truck Set (5511) and Beach Accessories Set (5509) which are from the fun and fantastic Rides Collection! This collection also includes the Birthday Buggy Set (5455), Spooky Wagon Set (5456), and Christmas Truck Set (5457). And as if that wasn’t enough…there are two additional accessories sets that can be mixed and matched with all of your other sets….and that includes a Travel Accessories Set (5508) and Sports Accessories Set (5510)!!!

To set the scene for our beach inspired card, we will be creating a beautiful sky using a combination of Distress Oxide Ink Pads. And to create the water we will use a wonderful color layering stamp set and finally we will add a sandy beach using additional Distress Oxide Inks! Let’s also spatter the sky with a little bit of water to add texture and interest to the sky!

Now we can stamp and color all of our images using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens as follows: Blender, Yellow, Orange, Geranium Red, Lt Violet, Cobalt Blue, May Green, Emerald Green, Green, Lt Gray, Dk Gray, Black, Beige, Mustard, Mid Brown.

Let’s also stamp a few palm trees from the Happy Trails Set (5187), a pretty sun from the Beach Babes Set (SC0653), and a few birds in the sky from the Gull-Friends Set (5399)! All of these elements will help to bring the eye up to the top of our card and will finish off this fun scene!

Going back to the Beach Babes Set we can add a cute little sentiment and die cut this from the Flag Double Stitched Dies (5133).

We will attach all of our images to the front panel of our Slimline Card! This finished card will measure 3 1/2″ x 8 1/2″.

As I mentioned in the video, I have previously done a Valentine Card using the Spooky Wagon Set….don’t worry its not spooky at all….I promise you that it is a pretty Valentine card! I created this card to show how flexible these images are and how you can totally change the look with just a few simple changes! Click here to watch!

Art Impressions Outside-In Easter Card

Let’s create a fun and whimsical Outside-In Easter Card using the adorable little bunny from the Ai Sending Love Cubbies Set (5221). We will create a little bunny window and a cute scene to go on the front of our card and then we will position the bunny on the inside of our card so that she peeks out the window and lines up perfectly! This is a fun way to add a shaped window to your cards!

We will create a beautiful sky using a cloudy stencil and we will also create a grassy border with some pretty flowers for the front of our card. We will also stamp and die cut some Easter eggs to fill her apron and also sprinkle some of these in our grassy border. Let’s also add a few delicate butterflies! We will be using the Ai Easter Chicks Set (5401) and the Ai Easter Bunnies Set (5274) for all of these extra images.

We will add a sentiment that continues onto the inside of our card, which when modified, will say “Some bunny wants to say…Happy Easter!”.

Tim Holtz Darling Deer Card w/ Villainous Potion Sky

Hello and Welcome!

In todays video we will be using several wonderful products from the Tim Holtz Collection including the Darling Deer and Woodlands Thinlits Die Sets! We will create a dramatic sky for our scene using the brand new Villainous Potion ink pad along with the pretty pink Kitsch Flamingo ink pad. We will be using our sponge daubers to apply the ink in small sections to get this unique looking sky!

For added texture and dimension we will do some spattering with water and paint and by adding some beautiful snowflake sequins!

The special sentiment will come from the Tim Holtz idea-ology “Christmas/Noel” Label Stickers which look a lot like using your Dymo Sticker Maker….only easier! The package contains two sheets of these wonderful sentiments.

Lawn Fawn Pumpkin Window – Thanksgiving Treats Card!

Hello!

For today’s video we will be creating a fun pumpkin window card with a cute little scene inside! We will be using the Lawn Fawn Outside In Pumpkin Die Set to create the opening for our Fall scene. For the inside of our card we will be using the LF Cloudy Stencil to create our sky and several images from the Cutie Pie, Virtual Friends, Crazy Antics and Jump for Joy sets!

You may want to look through the dies that you have in your stash and see if you have some cute shapes that you could use to create a fun window for your card! A heart, star or cloud shaped die would work really well here!

Our little mice will be enjoying a delicious pie and a hot cup of tea on a beautiful Fall day! I have used a Thanksgiving sentiment, however, you could use this card for many other occasions (including birthday, friendship, or thank you).

Art Impressions “You Rule” Card w/ Stencil Background

Happy Wednesday Ai Fans!!!

I’m really excited to show you today’s video and card! Today we will be creating a super fun birthday card using the Ai Baby Critters Set (5400HL)! This is just such a cute and versatile set!

To set the scene for our little lion we will stencil some beautiful birch trees in the background. I will give you a few tips for adding some additional dimension and interest to these trees!

This card was inspired by the current Art Impressions Blog Challenge which is called “Lions, Tigers and Bears, Oh My”. We would love it if you joined us in this challenge! Feel free to use any of your critters, or maybe create something scary, or even a Wizard of Oz type scene….just have fun with this challenge!

Art Impressions Birthday Gull-Friends Card!

Happy Wednesday Ai Fans!!!

In this weeks video and card I wanted to show you what I created with the brand new Gull-Friend Set (5399)! This is the second brand new set that is part of the Funny Farm Collection! Last week I created a card and video using the new Sheep Set (5398) which is  the “Dancing in the Rain Card”, linked here if you missed it!

This Gull-Friend Set is so adorable and includes pelicans as well as seagulls and many fun and funny sentiments! I thought it would be fun to create a beach scene with the cluster of seagulls and layer up the card with some stenciling and a woodgrain panel. I will also show you how to create this realistic ocean effect using a layering stamp set and three different colors of ink!

Art Impressions Windows to the World – Bridge Card!

Hello Ai Fans!!!

For todays video and card, I am so excited to be sharing a brand new Art Impressions product with you today! We will be creating a Windows to the World Card which is a wonderful shadowbox on the inside of our card!!! I will be giving you a few tips on how to easily and quickly create this shadowbox design!

We will be using the brand new Bridge Window Accessory Set (5412) to create our little scene. However, there are several new designs available. They include the Deer Window (5411), Mailbox Window (5410) and Boat Window (5409) Accessory Sets. These are all so beautiful and each one comes with the coordinating die for the pop-up element on your shadowbox as well as a sentiment around each of the images! Please keep in mind that you will need the Shadowbox Window Set (5408) in order to create any of these shadowbox cards!

I decided to go with a simple yet elegant black, gray and white color scheme but you can certainly go as colorful as you wish. That is the fun of these little scenes….they are fun on their own or as part of this shadowbox design.
