Toad-ally Lucky – St. Pat’s Day Card!

Let’s create a whimsical St. Patrick’s Day card today using the Ai Spring Keepsake Set (6106). The little frog from this set will be perfect for this card!

We will stamp the little frog and color him in using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Lt Pink, Lt Green, Deep Green. This is some really quick and easy coloring!

Next, we can die cut the frog, and to add some greenery around the frog we will die cut several leaves, stems and a mushroom from the Ai Fall Leaf Frame Die Set (5783) and the Ai Harvest Journal Die Set (5592). We will die cut the leaves and stems from some green cardstock and add a bit of color using the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink in Rustic Wilderness. And… don’t forget to add some tiny little wiggly eyes to your frog!

Now setting aside all of those pieces, we will die cut some gold metallic letters using the Ai Journal Letter Die Set (5562). We will spell out the words “toad-ally” and “lucky”. I’ll show you in the video how to lay these out easily on your card!

Let’s die cut an oval from some of that same metallic cardstock and a slightly smaller oval from some Kraft cardstock.

On the Kraft cardstock, we will have some fun stenciling using a four-leaf clover background. We will then stencil this design onto the Kraft cardstock using the wonderful Simon Hurley Lunar Paste in Fake Plant. Yes….that’s the name of it and I love it so much! This is the perfect green for our stenciled background.

We will create our square card base and spatter it using the Windsor Newton Gold Ink. Let’s spatter the stenciled oval as well.

Next, we can quickly assemble all of the pieces onto the card and for a bit more sparkle we will add a few sparkly sequins!

Luck O’ the Irish w/ Rainbow Stenciling!

Let’s create a colorful rainbow St. Patrick’s Day Card using the Ai Sham-rock Set (5006). We will be using the pot of gold, four leaf clovers, and a cute sentiment from this set…but there are lots of other images and coordinating sentiments that you will love to include on your St. Patrick’s Day cards!

Once we have stamped, colored and cut out all of our images we can go onto creating our sky and rainbow for this card. Note that all of the coloring was done using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Fl Yellow, Yellow, May Green, Green, Lt Gray, Gray.

For the sky we will create a background panel with the Ai Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies (5063) and then add a watercolor sky using the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Spray in both Tumbled Glass and Uncharted Mariner. I’ll show you how quick and easy it is to create a fun, yet interesting sky!

Next, we will stencil a beautiful rainbow using the Lawn Fawn Corner Rainbow Stencils and also some Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks in a variety of colors. And for a little twist we will cut this rainbow out using our detail scissors. This will allow us to add some dimensional tape to the rainbow and give it some more interest on the card. But first, we will spatter the rainbow with some water and blot that up with a paper towel and then we will spatter the rainbow with some beautiful gold watercolor ink. This adds the “wow” factor to this rainbow!

Now we can stamp our sentiment which says, “May the Luck O’ the Irish be yours!”. Let’s go ahead and assemble the card and add a bit of sparkle to the pot of gold using the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen.

It would also be fun to add a few sparkly gems to the center of each of the shamrocks for some added interest and dimension!

Hello and Welcome!!!

Today we will be creating a fun three dimensional card using the Tim Holtz Sizzix 3-D Impresslits – Luck Love! This Impresslit set includes a four leaf clover and a lovely heart. Tim’s 3-D Impresslits are so beautiful…they create an embossed image that also die cuts out at the same time! So easy and so much fun!

To set the scene for this card we will be using the Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits – Festive Repeat Die Set. This die will cut out a pattern in the card…this pattern can be repeated across the card if you wish. Let’s do a bit of ink spattering to bring the background together using the Distress Oxide inks in Twisted Citron and Rustic Wilderness.

To create our flowers and leaves we will be using the Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits – Funky Floral #3 Die Set. This set has a beautiful assortment of florals and leaves that will be perfect to frame our lucky clover!

We will add a bit of sparkle to the clover by using a beautiful green tinsel embossing powder and some pretty green twine to create a bow!

As a final step, we will add some lovely gems for more sparkle and dimension!
