Holiday Favor Jars!

Let’s have some fun creating these adorable little Holiday Favor Jars! Making party favors is absolutely one of my favorite things to do! We will be using the brand-new Ai Christmas Keepsake Set (6104) which includes an adorable snowman, reindeer, elf, and Christmas tree. There is also a little wooden basket/barrel that will fit any of these images and will coordinate perfectly with the other set in this series…Ai Fall Keepsake Set (6105). You can easily mix and match the little tin bucket and this wooden container to hold any of these little images!

To begin today’s project, we will stamp, color and die cut all of the images. All of the coloring will be done using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Sugared Almond Pink, Deep Red, Peach Pink, Lt Pink, Geranium Red, Wine Red, Yellow, Bright Yellow, Orange, Flesh Colour, Mustard, Beige, Mid Brown, Haze Blue, Blue, Deep Blue, May Green, Green, Lt Gray, Gray.

I used some small Mason Jars for this project, and I will show you exactly which ones I used in today’s video. We will first die cut the lacy borders using the Ai BJ Decorative Margin Dies (5972). These nice long (7″) dies will fit perfectly around the jars. We will die cut the border once and then run it through the die cutting machine again to die cut the other side. There is a little trick to doing this which I will also show you in the video.

Now we will grab the Ai Winter Woodland Cover PP (5964) to add to this lacy border. Again, this paper is a little longer and will allow us to go around the jars nicely. We can now wrap these around the jars and add our little images to the front of each.

For the top of the lids, we will die cut a small circle using the Ai Winter Woodland PP 6″x6″ (5963) in a pretty red. Then we will add a snowflake to each using the Ai Lg Snowflake Dies (5353). And to the center of each snowflake, we will add a few sparkly confetti sequins.

We will wrap the top of the jars with some red and white baker’s twine and tie on a cute little tag using a few sentiments from this same stamp set!

Then we can add a few white paper shreds, that will look like snow and then add some festive holiday treats!

How To Create a Winter Scene – Bridge Card!

We are going to have some great fun today creating a pretty winter scene “bridge” card! Don’t worry it is super simple, and I will give you all of the instructions and dimensions in today’s video!

Let’s create this “bridge” card today using the brand-new Ai Woodland Bench Scene (6088) stamp! This set is part of the new Woodland Series Stamp Sets! There are six new sets in this series! Let’s get started by stamping and coloring the images using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Sugared Almond Pink, Lt Beige, Yellow, Orange, Persian Green, Haze Blue, Aquamarine Blue, Dull Blue, Purple, Beige, Mid Brown, Platinum Brown, Green Gray, Lt Gray, Gray.

Next, we can create a pretty gold frame for this image using the Ai Oval Double Stitched Dies (5065) and the Ai Scalloped Oval Dies (6046).

To create the “bridge” design we will be cutting the center portion from a standard A2 size card. I will show you exactly how to do this in today’s video!

We will add a few embossed panels to each side of the card. This will not only add some elegance to the card but will also give a bit more stability to the card.

Now we will glue the oval frame to the front of the card…. only applying glue to the sides of the oval. I did back the framed oval with a solid gold oval to finish off the inside of the card as well; however you may skip this step if you wish.

For the inside of the card, we will die cut two more stitched ovals from gold and white cardstock and stamp the sentiment. Let’s also emboss the sentiment with some gold embossing powder to continue that elegant look! I’ll show you a little trick for lining this up perfectly on the inside of the card!

For a finishing touch, we can add a few pretty glittery snowflakes to the front and inside of the card and a few sparkly gems in the center of the snowflakes!

Woodland Critters Ornament Shaped Cards!

Let’s create some fun and festive holiday ornament cards using some brand-new stamps from Art Impressions! We will be using the cute little woodland creatures decorating the snowman and the little bunnies gathering the mail! We will be using two of the new Woodland Series Stamp Sets today! I will link these two sets down below as well as a really great Holiday Lane Bundle Set which is currently available at a great discounted price and it includes the following:

Today, we will start by stamping the images and die cutting them using a pretty Hero Arts Ornament Die Set. We will be cutting this into a simple circle a bit later on….so you can just use a circle die here if you prefer. But if you do use the ornament die, I will show you a little trick for turning this into a circle.

Next, we can do the coloring using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Sugared Almond Pink, Wine Red, Lt Beige, Yellow, Orange, Pale Green, May Green, Green, Turquoise Green, Cobalt Blue, Lt Brown, Beige, Dk Oatmeal, Lt Gray, Gray, Mid Brown.

Let’s add a little sparkle to the snow using the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen. We can also add some pretty details and highlights with a white gel pen.

Now we can die cut the largest ornament die two times in mermaid cardstock and two times in raspberry cardstock. At this point, let’s add a sentiment on the inside of the card using the Ai Christmas Sentiments Set (5566).

With the front of the card, we can add some pretty snowflake rub-ons in gold and silver. These are so easy to use and add an elegant touch. You could also just stamp and emboss some pretty snowflakes as well.

We will be gluing these ornaments back-to-back to create a card design. But first, we need to score the top of one of the ornaments right below where the ornament topper ends. Then let’s place some glue above the score line and attach these together to create the card. I’ll show you exactly how to do this in today’s video!

Now we will die cut just the topper portion of the ornament die in gold and silver. You will need two of each if you want to do the back side of the card as well. Let’s glue these on the ornaments!

Finally, we will add a few sparkly gems and some pretty sheer ribbon!

Snow Globe Gift Card Holder using Exclusive SSS/Ai Collaboration Set!

Today I am so excited to show you the brand-new “limited edition” collaborative stamp set from Simon Says Stamp and Art Impressions! This adorable little Snow Globe GCH Set (6123) is designed as an add-on set to the Art Impressions Envelope GCH Set (5344).

Keep in mind that if you want to create the gift card holder you will need to purchase the Envelope GCH separately. Once you have this you can add any of the various add-ons to this set and they will coordinate perfectly. Some of the add-ons available include the Santa GCH Set (5339), Snowman GCH Set (5340), Black Cat GCH Set (5341), Pumpkin GCH Set (5342), Birthday Cake GCH Set (5407), Bunny GCH Set (5872), and the Java GCH Set (5343). Let’s begin by die cutting all of the pieces needed to create this fun little snowman and snow globe. I used a combination of patterned papers from the Classic Christmas Paper Packs. The cover paper pack will be large enough to allow us to die cut the envelope template easily! Then I used a variety of solid colors for some of the other pieces. For the frame, I used a gold metallic cardstock and for the sentiment banner I used some sparkle cardstock.

I thought it would be fun to create a shaker snow globe so we will layer up some frames to give us a nice pocket to place some pretty sparkly gems.

Let’s add some white ink to the trees and some ink around the edges of the holly leaves, and snowy borders.

Now we can assemble the snowman and the shaker element. I will show you exactly how to create this in today’s video!

Next, we can die cut the envelope using that Christmas Cover Paper Pack and quickly assemble using some 1/4″ double-sided tape.

Keep in mind that you do not have to place this little shaker onto the gift card envelope…it would be great on a card or as an ornament or Christmas tag!

I’ve got a brand-new winter/holiday stamp and die set to show you today…and you are going to love it. The set Ai Snowman Hugs Set (6107) is the cutest collection of snowmen and lots of sentiments, as well as the coordinating dies! We will be using two of the snowman images today to create our Gift Card Pocket Cards!

Let’s go ahead and stamp and die-cut the images. For coloring we will be using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Sugared Almond Pink, Peach Pink, Orange, Ice Blue, Sea Green, Haze Blue, Persian Green, Lt Red Grape, Deep Red Grape, Lt Gray, Ever Green, Mid Green, Beige, Mid Brown. Now we can add some nice details to the images using a white gel pen. Let’s add a plaid and some polka dots for added interest.

Next, let’s create the card base. We will add a pretty open scalloped border using the Ai BJ Decorative Margin Dies (5972). This nice long 7″ margin die is perfect for your longer projects or scrapbook pages and journals. I’ll show you in today’s video how to die-cut just the border…it’s quick and easy to do!

Let’s create some pretty backgrounds for the front and inside of the cards using the Ai Christmas Magic PP (5853). We will select a pretty polka dot for the outside of both cards and a stripe and plaid for the insides.

We can glue those in place and next we can create the gift card pocket which will match the border on the front of the card perfectly. And to do this, we will use the Ai BJ Pocket Die Set (5985) which also includes a beautiful cross die!

We can fold the pockets along the score lines and add adhesive to secure them on the inside of the card. We will also cut another piece of leftover patterned paper for a layer on the pockets.

For the “Joy” sentiment we will use the Ai Jesus and Joy Die Set (5986). We will die-cut the word three times, once from some glitter cardstock, and two times more from some 100lb white cardstock. By gluing these together, we will get a nice thick sentiment for the front of the card.

Let’s die-cut some snowflakes using that same die set from that same glitter paper and add them to the front of the cards and on the gift card pocket on the inside of the card.

For a bit of sparkle, we will add some pretty gems in lilac and green to each of the snowflakes on the front of the cards! Just insert your gift card or note card or both and you are all set!

Tim Holtz Mixed Media Shaker Tag for the New Year!

New Year’s Eve is coming soon, and I thought it would be fun to create a mixed media tag with a surprise shaker element! We will be using several products from the Tim Holtz Collection including some wonderful “Vault Dies”, Grit Paste, Metallic Cardstock, Velvet Trims, Locket Key and Ball Chain, Sparkle Papers and so much more!

I’m creating the tag for a New Year’s Eve 2025 hostess gift. However, you could easily leave off the date and use this for any occasion. This would be great for a graduation by just placing the graduation year inside the tag, retirement, or even someone’s age for a big birthday celebration!

For the base of this tag, we will use the wonderful Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits – Vault Watch Gears Die Set. This will give us the elements needed to create the “pocket watch” layers and numbers. We will also use the Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits – Vault Christmas Magic Die Set for our focal element which is the magical city scape!

I am going to refer you directly to today’s video so that I can show you all of the construction and elements of this shaker tag in full detail. It’s super easy and fun to create!

Mini “Faux” Shaker Window w/ Woodland Bears!

Today let’s create what I’m calling a Mini “Faux” Shaker Window Card. Although it looks like a standard shaker card, we will be gluing down the shaker elements so that only a few of the gems will actually move around. This is so that they give the look of a shaker, but they won’t actually interfere with the sentiment in the center of the window. I’ll show you exactly what I mean in today’s video!

To get started, we will die cut the panels for our card using the Ai Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Die Set (5063) and ink around the edges of the kraft panel and the snowflake panel. The white panel will be used to create our snowbanks. The pretty snowflake patterned paper is from the Ai Classic Christmas Paper Pack (5962) and it includes several beautiful double-sided Christmas papers!

Next, let’s use a label die from the Ai Portfolio Template Set (5957) to cut the opening from the snowflake panel. We can now stamp the sentiment onto this label which will say “Have a Beary Merry Christmas” which is just so cute! We will add some clear acetate behind the snowflake panel and then add some foam tape to create a pocket for the pretty Gold Dust shaker gems! But…we won’t just pour the gems into the opening… we will glue many of them in place and add a few extras that can move around. This will give the “faux” element to our shaker. And by using only one layer of foam tape, the elements will also be trapped in place so that there again won’t be a lot of movement.

Now we can stamp, color and die-cut all of our cute little images from the brand-new Ai Woodland Bears Set (5954). This set includes the adorable bear that we will be using today, as well as a wagon full of gift packages, stacks of gifts, a mailbox, sledding bears, little birds, a tree, star and snowflakes, and 3 coordinating sentiments! The dies are also included in this set!

The coloring will be done using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Sugared Almond Pink, Pale Rose, Dk Blossom Pink, Geranium Red, Deep Vermillion, Lt Blue, Persian Green, May Green, Deep Green, Olive Green, Mid Green, Beige, Lt Brown, Mid Brown, Lt Gray, Mid Gray.

Let’s go ahead and assemble the card and all of our cute little images to create a fun winter scene!

For a finishing touch, we can add a few of those same gems to the front of the card just to tie everything together!

Today’s card was inspired by the current Ai “Under the Dome” Blog Challenge which is to create a card or project using a shaker element or shaker dome. Any theme you like will do for this challenge. I hope you joining us in this fun challenge…we would love to see what you create!

Santa Puppet Snowflake Frame Card!

Today we will be creating an elegant, yet whimsical Santa Puppet Frame Card! This brand-new Santa Puppet Set (5931) includes all of the dies that you will need to create this adorable Santa. This set is part of a series of “Puppets” from Art Impressions. There have been two other puppet sets which include the Snowman Puppet Set and the Easter Bunny Puppet Set. If you are interested in checking out those other sets, I will link those videos for you down below.

These sets are like little paper dolls that you can dress up! I don’t know what it is about these little puppets…but I just absolutely love them…and I think you will love them too!

There is also an Ai Christmas Train Bundle Set (5975) available at a discounted bundled price and I have listed and linked that down below for you as well. This includes the Christmas Train Set (5929), Santa’s Workshop Set (5930), Santa Puppet Die Set (5931), Classic Christmas Paper Pack (5962), Classic Christmas Cover PP (5969). This is a great value that is chock full of fun stuff!

We will die cut all of the pieces from some 100lb Smooth White Cardstock so that we can do some ink blending with our Distress Oxide Inks. This is a simple and easy way to add color and shading to your puppet pieces. However, you could color these with your markers or by using colored cardstock. In the video, I will show you all of the pieces and how to easily assemble this sweet Santa.

Next, let’s create the background by inking a large, stitched panel using the Ai Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies Set (5063). We will be using the Distress Ink in the Speckled Egg for a soft elegant look. We also need to die cut the Ai Snowflake Frame 5782) twice and glue them together for a bit more stability and dimension. Now we can ink the edges of this beautiful snowflake frame.

To make this frame stand out a bit more we will add some pretty “Arctic” colored cardstock the back of the frame and cut out the center so that we can still see through to the snowflake panel. I will show you exactly how to do this in today’s video!

To add even more elegance to the background panel we will be die cutting several of the snowflakes from that same frame set and glue them all over. This will create such a beautiful panel that could be used all by itself. Just add a simple sentiment and you are all set to go!

For the assembly, we will have the Santa look as though he is popping out of the frame. Tack him down with a bit of glue and then we can pop up the entire frame and Santa with some 3D Foam Squares.

Now we can attach the panel to the card base and add the frame in the center of the card. For a bit of sparkle and interest we will add some pretty white gems to the center of each snowflake. Let’s also add some red and white baker’s twine at the top of the card.

Finally, we will stamp a lovely sentiment from the Ai Christmas Sentiments Set (5566) for the front of the card and the inside of the card! We can sprinkle a few more snowflakes on the inside of the card to compliment the front of the card!

Woodland Critters Gift Card Holders!

Today we will be creating 3 festive holiday gift card holders using the brand-new Ai Woodlands Critters Set (5953). This cute set has several woodland critters and several coordinating sentiments. The set also includes the matching dies!

Let’s begin by creating the gift card pocket using the Ai Gift Card Pocket Set (5811) and some heavy weight kraft cardstock. We will also die cut an additional piece to turn this pocket into a folding card! I will show you exactly how to do this in today’s video.

Now we can select some pretty holiday papers to cover the front and back of the card. Again, I will show you how to easily cut these papers to fit perfectly on your card.

Next, we can select 3 images from this stamp set and stamp, color and die cut our images. To do our coloring today, we will be using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Yellow, Orange, Sugared Almond Pink, Deep Vermillion, May Green, Deep Green, Dark Green, Beige, Mid Brown, Lt Gray Cool Gray 6.

Using the brand-new Ai Portfolio Template Set (5952), we will grab 2 label dies and the circle ornament die. I will give you a closer look at all of the dies that are included in the set…and there are a ton of them! The set was designed to create a portfolio, but I love using the individual dies in these sets for a multitude of projects!

Once these have been die-cut we will ink around the edges with some “cup ‘o joe” brown ink and then we can add our images to the front of each. Once we have glued them in place we can trim away any excess and then we will add a set of leaves and holly berries to each one. We will also be adding the leaves and holly berries to the back of the gift card holder and the inside of the card as well.

Let’s go ahead and spatter the cards with some bleed proof white ink and stamp some cute little sentiments on the front and inside of each of the cards using that same stamp set.

Next, let’s add our images to each of the cards…and for the “ornament” critter we will add a string and bow using a permanent black marker!

These fun, festive, holiday gift card holders are perfect for friends, family, and co-workers alike!

Christmas Magic Wreath – Using Elegant Earth Tones!

For today’s card and video, we will be creating a soft, elegant, earth toned Christmas wreath. If you want to get away from the typical reds and greens for your Christmas cards, you may want to have some fun by combining some earth tones and metallics for a different, yet beautiful look!

We will talk a little bit about some tricks and tips for mass-producing your holiday cards in today’s video as well!

Let’s get started by stamping our images using the Ai WC Poinsettia Set (5828) and the Ai WC Christmas Wreath Set (5472). We will be coloring the images using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Beige, Mid Brown, Olive Green, Mid Green, Brown.

We will stamp several sets of the poinsettia, leaves/sprigs, and pinecones because we will be creating 3 cards today! Once all of the coloring is done, we will use our detail scissors to cut these out, leaving a small white border around the edges.

Next, we can create all of the layers for our cards using the Tim Holtz Distress Kraft Heavystock, Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstock, and some pretty Tim Holtz Metallic Cardstock in copper. These pretty stitched border layers will be die-cut using the Ai Square Double Stitched Dies (5061). For the metallic layer we will create a frame for our wreath, and I will show you how to do this in the video.

On the white layer we will stamp the twig wreath using the Ai Frameworks Set 1 (5420). To color the wreath quickly and easily we will just using a small blending brush and add some oxide ink all around. Let’s also spatter this panel for a bit more interest!

Now the fun part, attaching all of the layers and creating our pretty poinsettia floral arrangement. We can also add one of the pinecones to the inside of the card and stamp the “Christmas Blessings to you and yours” sentiment using the Ai Christmas Sentiments (5566) Set.

And for a finishing touch, let’s add some pretty champagne pearls!
