Lawn Fawn Pumpkin Window – Thanksgiving Treats Card!

Hello!

For today’s video we will be creating a fun pumpkin window card with a cute little scene inside! We will be using the Lawn Fawn Outside In Pumpkin Die Set to create the opening for our Fall scene. For the inside of our card we will be using the LF Cloudy Stencil to create our sky and several images from the Cutie Pie, Virtual Friends, Crazy Antics and Jump for Joy sets!

You may want to look through the dies that you have in your stash and see if you have some cute shapes that you could use to create a fun window for your card! A heart, star or cloud shaped die would work really well here!

Our little mice will be enjoying a delicious pie and a hot cup of tea on a beautiful Fall day! I have used a Thanksgiving sentiment, however, you could use this card for many other occasions (including birthday, friendship, or thank you).

This card was inspired by the current Lawn Fawn Blog Challenge #111 which is “Coffee, Tea, Treats” which is linked here!

Art Impressions Christmas Slimline Card

Watch the video tutorial here!

Hello Ai Fans!!!

It’s a great day!!! Art Impressions has another brand new holiday stamp and die set available now! It is called the Christmas Slimline Set (5461) and it is specifically designed to work perfectly on the ever popular slimline cards!

I am personally so addicted to any of the slimline designs now…from the mini to the large size! Today we will create a large slimline card and to set the scene we will be creating a beautiful snowy background using our Distress Oxide Inks. We will be creating a night sky with a lighted area for our lantern. I’ll show you how easy it is to create this look.

This fantastic set includes the tall snowman and a few cute birds and an adorable little bunny! We will be coloring in these images using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. Then we will add a few snowy borders, a sentiment, and a few little hearts to complete the scene.

We will also add some dimension with some Crystal Glaze as well as some flocking for even more texture and dimension!

3D Impressions (Part 2) w/ Metallic Gilding Polish

Watch the video tutorial here!

Hello!

Today I thought I would show you a follow-up of the “Tim Holtz 3D Texture Fades Cards w/ Metallic Gilding Polish” that I had previously done. You may want to watch that video as well because I cover the Gilding Polish in a bit more detail and there are several project examples!

So…in the first video, I showed you a couple of really interesting and textural cards using the beautiful Metallic Gilding Polish from Creative Expressions. We focused on just three colors in this video so that you could see how completely different they look depending on how you use them. We will also used the Tim Holtz 3-D Texture Fades Embossing Folders and at the end of the video I showed you several different samples!

For this Part 2 video, I want to show you many more color combinations and I will also be showing you the differences between the Gilding Polish and the Opal Polish. You will see how the Opal Polish is a completely different color when used on black cardstock versus white cardstock. The difference is dramatic and very beautiful!

Today we will create several backgrounds and embellishments, several different color combinations and then at the end of the video we will create several cards using these items. We will also mix the Opal and Gilding Polish on the same background which will give even more dramatic results.

For texture and dimension, we will be using several 3D embossing folders and die sets from Sizzix and also several Tim Holtz idea-ology products to complete our cards (including quote chips, metallic droplets, and sprocket gears). All of these products are listed and linked below.

Just keep in mind that in order to create any of the Matchbooks, you will need the MB Template Die Set (5317) and in order to create the coordinating envelope you will need the MB Envelope Die Set (5318).

Art Impressions Eclipse Technique w/ Tri-tone Colored Pencils

Watch the video tutorial here!!

Hello Ai Fans!!!

I thought we would create a fun, yet elegant mini slimline card today using the Eclipse Technique! This technique is very easy to do but the results are very dramatic. For our images today we will be using the Exclusive Hydrangeas Set (5229) and the Block Letters Die Set (5072). Unfortunately, I just learned that the hydrangea set has been discontinued, but don’t worry, Art Impressions has several other beautiful florals that could easily be used to create this unique card!

In order to create this unique coloring, I used the Koh-i-noor Tri-tone Colored Pencils! If you haven’t seen these in action yet….then you will definitely want to watch todays video! There are three colors built into each pencil and as you do your blending with the Gamsol Blending Solution, you will get this beautiful, yet simple tri-color blending! The blending is so easy and so gorgeous!

We will add a simple sentiment and a few sparkly gems to finish off this project!

This card was inspired by the current Art Impressions Blog Challenge which is to create a Slimline card! Please join us in this fun challenge….we can’t wait to see what you create!!!

Hello and Welcome!

In today’s video and card we will be creating a spooky mixed media Halloween scene! We will be using some brand new Halloween dies from the Tim Holtz collection! These will include the Ghost Town #2, Gate Keeper, and Regions Beyond Sets.

To do our coloring we will be using the fantastic Halloween Distress Mica Stains from Tim! These sprays have a beautiful mica shimmer which we will use to spray our background, color our haunted house, grave stones, and add dimension to the creepy gate!

To add even more creepiness and an aged effect to our gate we will add some Halloween Crypt Grit-Paste….so cool!!!! This paste would be great with a stencil as well.

We will add a fun metal Tim Holtz Word Band and add some Tim Holtz Distress Crayon in black to give it a more spooky look! And finally, we will add some twine and a few keys to secure the gate to our graveyard….sooooo scary!!!!

The coloring will be done using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens…and I will list all of those colors below.

Art Impressions “Batty” Halloween Spinner Card

Hello Ai Fans!!!

Todays card and video are inspired by the current Art Impressions Blog Challenge which is called “Going Batty”! I thought it would be fun to create a spinner card using the cute little bat from the Halloween Critters Set (5182) and the pumpkin border from the Pumpkin Flip Set (5352).

I will show you how easy it is to create a super fun interactive spinner card. This just requires a bit of clear thread and our bat will look like it is flying on its own! Just wind it up….and let it fly!!!

I really love to look at my stamp sets in a different way so that I can use them in multiple ways. So for this card we will trim away the little critters from inside the pumpkins and just use the pumpkin border on its own.

To set the scene for our card we will use some Distress Oxide Inks and then some beautiful Mica Spray for added shimmer! We will also add some trees and branches in the background with two different stamp sets from the Bible Journaling Sets – Bible Foliage (5073) and He Leads Me (5169).

If you love these little halloween critters as much as I do…you may want to check out my Mini Slimline Halloween Card w/ Glimmer Paste and my Halloween Critters Tag Card!
