Art Impressions Halloween – Front and Back Card!

I’ve got some brand-new products to show you today including some new Front and Back images! These new images are just so cute, and we will be using the cute little FB Sitting Boy (5777) and FB Sitting Dog (5780) on today’s Halloween card!

So, let’s getting started by stamping and coloring the boy and dog using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Sugared Almond Pink, Flesh Colour, Lt Gray, Cool Gray #6, Dark Agate, Orange, Dark Peony, Deep Violet, Mid Brown, Olive Green, Dark Green.

Next, we can die cut these images and glue them back-to-back….and they will line up perfectly!

To set the scene we will be creating a spooky night sky and moon. Let’s grab some Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink Pads in Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. But first we need to mask off the area for our moon using the Tim Holtz (Stampers Anonymous) Layering Moon Mask. This is a two-part mask which will give us the details on the moon. We will use the TH Distress Oxide Ink in Hickory Smoke.

Next, we can spatter the background with some sparkle and also some white ink!

Let’s also stamp and die cut some leaves, pumpkins and a little bench for our scene using the Ai Halloween Slimline Set (5460), the Ai Peek-a-boo Set (5506) and the WC Sitting Places Set (5055).

Now, we can take the brand-new Ai WC Journal Halloween Die Set to create the spooky fence opening for the card and a raven, bats, and spider web using some black cardstock. This set will give you the rectangle that will cut the exact size of the opening needed to perfectly fit your spooky fence. I will give you some more detailed instructions in the video for aligning and assembling this frame very easily!

Next, we can die cut some Lawn Fawn Hillside Borders out of that same black cardstock. At this time, we can also stamp the sentiment which simply says, “Happy Halloween”.

We can do our card assembly…making sure to line up the boy and dog so that they show through to the inside of the card. Let’s add our pumpkins, leaves, raven and spider web to our scene! And keep in mind that when you die cut the little pup there are slits under his paws so that he can hold a variety of objects…we will place our jack-o-lantern in his paws!

Finally let’s take a white gel pen and add a few highlights here and there!!! So don’t be FRIGHTENED to give this card a try!!!

Today we will be creating another fun tropical drink card using the Lawn Fawn Build-a-drink Cocktail Add-on set! This set compliments the original Lawn Fawn Build-a-drink set and includes a fun shaped glass as well as fruit, foliage, cherry and pick!

If you would like to check out the first video where we created a fun shaker card and I will link that here:

To set the scene for today’s card we will be using the Lawn Fawn Beach Sunset Stencil Set! This stencil set will allow us to create the most beautiful beach scene complete with the ocean, sky, sun and sand!!! It also includes the ability to create some palm trees…which we will not be using today…but would be perfect for your tropical scenes.

Let’s begin with the background using the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink Pads. For the water we will use Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers, Wilted Violet, and Villainous Potion. Be sure to take your time blending these colors for the best results. Next, for the sun let’s grab the Picked Raspberry, Festive Berries and Squeezed Lemonade. And the sand will be done using the Antique Linen, Gathered Twigs and Ground Espresso. The liquid in the drink will be created using the Squeezed Lemonade and Twisted Citron. I’ll show you some easy tricks and tips in the video for using your stencil to get the best results!

We will do a bit of spattering to add some interest to the sea and sand.

Let’s add a lime, cherry and foliage for color, interest and dimension. We will also grab a starfish, sand dollar and clam shell from the Lawn Fawn Life is Good stamp set.

Next we can add the “Let’s Celebrate” sentiment using the Lawn Fawn Elephant Parade Add-on stamp set. I’ll show you and easy technique for stamping this in an arched shape on your card.

Finally let’s do a quick assembly of all of our pieces and sit back and dream of summer!!!

Lawn Fawn Build-A-Drink Shaker Card!

If you are like me you don’t want to see summer end just yet…so I thought it would be fun to create a colorful tropical card using some fantastic products from the Lawn Fawn collection! Please note that there will be another card coming soon using the Lawn Fawn Build-a-drink Cocktail Add-on Set. In that video we will also be using the Lawn Fawn Beach Sunset Stencils to create a beautiful background!

The pretty drink for today’s card will be created using the Lawn Fawn Build-a-drink Die Set. This set includes all of the dies needed to create a variety of elements for the drink including the glass, straw, umbrella, fruit and foliage! I will show you exactly how to easily create the shaker element and we will use Buttons Galore & More Sprinkletz Embellishments Fruit Cocktail set to fill the shaker.

For the liquid in our drink we will be brayering using the Hero Arts Neon (Red to Purple) Ink Pad. I will give you some tricks and tips for brayering a smooth background without the lines that you can sometimes get. We can also use the leftover brayered paper to die cut some of the flowers that we can add back onto the frame.

The glass will be created using the Lawn Fawn Holographic Cardstock which is just so sparkly and fun!

We can also die cut the straw using the Lawn Fawn Stripes n’ Sprinkles Petite Paper Pack in the pretty yellow and white stripe!

To set the scene for our drink we can ink up a card panel using the Hero Arts Neon Ombre’ Ink Pad (Chartruese to Blue). Now we can die cut the Lawn Fawn Secret Garden Window from this inked panel. Let’s also ink up another panel with this same ink pad to die cut some foliage to decorate the card.

To create the overlay for this gorgeous frame we can use that same paper pad in the sprinkles yellow paper. We will also use our Hero Arts Blending Brush and Lemon Drops Ink Pad to add a bit of color around the edges of this panel.

For our sentiment we will use the Lawn Fawn S’more the Merrier Stamp Set and it will say “let’s TOAST to your birthday”.

Let’s quickly assemble the card and add those pretty flowers to the frame and a some beautiful foliage at the base of the glass for a beautiful tropical look!

Finally let’s add a few sparkly gems from the Pinkfresh Studio Ombre’ Drops in Twighlight!

STAMPtember 2023 – SSS Exclusive Apple Cider Set!

It’s that time of year again and I’m so excited! The brand new exclusive STAMPtember set has been released in conjunction with Art Impressions! It is this adorable Apple Cider Set (SSE23A) which includes this wonderful little lady with her basket of apples, as well as, a glass of cider and several perfectly coordinated sentiments. There is even a little candle that can be placed in the apple to create a cute birthday card.

This is a limited edition set which once sold out will not be available again….so don’t wait….if you love it be sure to place your order as soon as possible. I think this set is going to go fast since it is just so unique and simply adorable!!!

We will stamp this little lady onto some Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstock and color her using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Sugared Almond Pink, Flesh Colour, Deep Vermillion, Apple Green, Ever Green, Blue Gray, Lt Gray, Beige, Lt Brown, Mid Brown.

To set the scene we will be stenciling a pretty sunray using the Lawn Fawn Sunray Background Stencil. We will be using some Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks to do this and then we can spatter the background using the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen.

Next we can die cut the Lawn Fawn Leafy Tree Backdrop (Portrait) several times to create our dimensional tree. The top wood grain layer will be die cut using the brand new Art Impressions Gnome Paper Pack (5832). We can ink up the tree and frame with our sponge dauber and some Ground Espresso ink. To finish the tree we will ink up the greenery using the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks. We can also die cut and ink up our grassy borders this same way using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders Dies. On the smaller grassy border we can stamp our adorable sentiment. We will be using the sentiment that says “Always look on the Bright Cider Life”.

Let’s also stamp and color in the “Apple Festival” banner using the Art Impressions Floral Truck Set (5511) and then add the lettering using a permanent black pen. Again we will go back to the Zigs to color these banners using Deep Vermillion, Lt Gray and Yellow.

Now we can create the leaves and the super cute little rake using the Art Impressions Harvest Journal Die Set (5592). To color in the leaves we will be using an ink smooshing technique to apply several ink colors. We will be using the Tim Holtz Mini Distress Ink Pads in a variety of Fall colors.

Now for the fun part….assembling this fun Fall scene!

Whimsical Flowers Bookmarks!

I’ve got an easy and fun project for you today! We will be creating some pretty bookmarks using the brand new Ai Whimsical Flowers Set (5797). This pretty little floral stamp set will coordinate with all of your watercolor journal dies and stamps.

This card was inspired by the current Ai Blog Challenge called “Feeling Blue”. For this challenge you can create any project that feature blues…any blue color will do! Please join us in this fun challenge by submitting your project….we would love to see what you create!

Let’s begin by die cutting our bookmarks onto some Strathmore Bristol Smooth 100lb Cardstock using the Ai Journal Cover & Bookmark Die Set (5723). This set has several dies that can be used to create your journal pages and some fun borders. It also includes two bookmark dies that we will be using today!

We can stamp a nice selection of flowers onto the bottom of each bookmark using the Versafine Onyx Black ink and then begin our coloring.

The coloring will be done using the beautiful Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Pencil Sets. These pencils are so easy to use and the colors coordinate with all of the other Tim Holtz products that you may already have in your stash….the ink pads, sprays, paints, etc.

I’ll give you a few different ideas for how to use these pencils to get a variety of looks!

Next let’s add some color around the edges of each bookmark using the Distress Oxide Inks in Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean. We can also spatter the bookmarks for a bit more interest.

Now we can add some stitching around the edges using a permanent black pen.

Finally let’s tie on some baker’s twine in the coordinating colors. These would be a great gift for your favorite reader along with a good book!

Tim Holtz Halloween 2023 – “Edison Colorize”

Let’s create a spooky Halloween card using the brand new Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits – Edison, Colorize Die Set! This fun set includes a large pumpkin and two spooky clouds. This is part of the Colorize series of dies so we will be layering up the pumpkin for lots of interest and dimension!

To color the layers of the pumpkin we will be using the beautiful Tim Holtz Mica Stains. These mica stains will give each of the layers a pearl finish and the Harvest Moon colored layer will make it look as though the pumpkin is actually lit up!

Next we can die cut the pumpkin layers and glue everything together!

To set the scene let’s start by creating a moon using the Stampers Anonymous Layering Moon Mask and then we can use the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks to create the perfect night sky. We will use the Shaded Lilac, Villainous Potion, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot to do this. Just be sure to take your time with blending the inks to get the best results!

Now let’s die cut the Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits – Flower Field in black. This will give us a great place to hide the pumpkin for a spookier look.

Let’s add the sentiments…and for a fun and cute touch we can add a mask to the pumpkin!!! For our sentiments, bats, mask and raven we will use the Tim Holtz Sticker Book – Halloween 2023. This little sticker book is just packed full of fun and spooky sentiments and fun images. Great for all of your Halloween projects!

For a fun finishing touch let’s add some Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Glaze in Seedless Preserves along the bottom edge of the card. This glaze will add a bit of shine and a purple tint to the card!
