Eagles Window Gift Card Holder – Masculine Birthday/Father’s Day!

Let’s create a masculine gift card holder today using the Ai Eagles Window (M4880). This beautiful stamp has a wonderful sentiment that goes all the way around the square frame, however, we will be cutting that away today and framing the scene in a bit of a unique way!

To create the double frame layers, we will be using the Ai Nested Square Dies (5725). This die set is really terrific because there are so many sizes of these square dies which will allow us to create a few different layering frames for this card.

For the frame layers, we will use two different green cardstock colors using the Tim Holtz Kraft-stock in the Cool tones. I’ll show you in the video how to layer these frames for a unique look!

Next, we can create our card base using the Tim Holtz Kraft Heavystock. We will cut the cardstock at 4 1/4″ x 9 3/4″ and the first score line will be at 4 1/4″.

Next let’s mask off the front of the card using some Post-it Tape and then we can ink blend the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink on the front of the card and the green frames using the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink in Ground Espresso.

Next, we will spatter the card front as well as the frames using that same ink. Then we will spatter these panels again using some bleed proof white ink.

By adding some foam mounting tape to the back of the frame we can pop this up on the card front and then insert the eagle scene into the center of the frame.

Now let’s score the card one more time at 1 1/4″ to create the pocket for the gift card. We can fold this and add some glue. This is a great place to stamp a sentiment…we will be using the Ai Birthday Sentiments Set (5735) and it will say “Happy YOU Day!”.

For a finishing touch let’s add some twine and tie a knot on the front of the card and then fray the edges a bit for a more rustic look.

This card would be great for a masculine birthday or even Father’s Day card! Just add their favorite gift card and you are good to go!
