Fun w/ Fashionistas Birthday Card!

Let’s have some fun today playing with one of my favorite “Girlfriends” sets! We will be using the Ai Uptown Girls Set (4129) which comes with these four wonderfully fashionable ladies and some coordinating sentiments!

If you are not familiar with the “Girlfriends” sets you may want to take a look at some of the others that are available including the Gardening Girlfriends, Crazy Friends, Cheers My Deers, Friends Forever and so many more! I will give you the link in the description box and you can just type “Girlfriends” in the search bar and all of these wonderful sets will come up!

To get started we can die cut the largest die from the Ai Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Die Set (5063) and then stamp and color our little ladies using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Flesh Colour, Sugared Almond Pink, Dk Pink, Yellow, Orange, Haze Blue, Lt Blue, Ice Blue, Lt Gray, Warm Gray 4, Dk Gray, May Green, Green, Brown, Beige, Mid Brown.

To add some additional interest and detail to the ladies’ outfits we will add some Wink of Stella Clear Glitter and some polka dots, and highlights with a white gel pen.

To set the scene, we will use a combination of pretty blue inks and for the stencil we will use the Lawn Fawn Draped Ribbon Stencil! Once the stenciling is done, we will spatter the darkest blue ink onto the cardstock before we remove the stencil. This will give a pretty look to our sky!

Next, let’s die cut three fences from the Ai WC Arbor Set (5363) from some black 100lb cardstock.

We will also add a cobblestone walk using the Ai WC Cobblestone Set (5018) onto some gray 100lb cardstock. We can tear the top of the panel, stamp the cobblestone walk, add some shadowing with a gray marker, and add some ink around the edges of the panel to tie everything together.

Before we begin the assembly let’s stamp a sentiment for the front of the card using this same stamp set and then a few sentiments for the inside of the card using the Ai Birthday Sentiments Set (5735) or the Ai Mini Birthday Sentiments Set (5866) or a combination of the two.

Now we will quickly assemble the card and as a finishing touch we will sprinkle on some pretty iridescent gems!
