Tim Holtz “Framed Frights” Halloween Tags!

Let’s create a few fun spooky Halloween Tags using lots and lots of Tim Holtz products! We can begin by creating our backgrounds for each of the tags. For the first one, we will ink blend some Distress Oxide Inks in Villainous Potion and Wilted Violet and for the second tag, we will ink blend some Carved Pumpkin and Crackling Campfire.

Next, let’s emboss the tags using the TH Sizzix “Tapestry” Texture Fades Embossing Folder. Now we can brayer on some TH Black Soot Ink using the TH Distress Brayer. This will really highlight the pattern of the embossing folder!

Now, we can add some shimmer by spattering the tags with some TH Distress Mica Stains in Hocus Pocus, Jack-O-Lantern, and Empty Tomb.

For our images and sentiments, we will be using the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Framed Frights Stamp Set. This set contains 4 fantastic Halloween images and 4 coordinating sentiments!

We will stamp the two scenes and two sentiments, inking all of these with some black soot ink. Let’s attach the sentiments to the tags so that we can add the TH Distress Texture Paste in Black Opaque all around the edges of each of the tags. We can set these aside to dry while we grab some of the other items we will need.

Using the TH idea-ology Halloween Paper Dolls we will use the two little children and the tall man holding a bouquet of roses. We will use the TH Distress Crayons to add some color to the roses and to the faces of the children. I’ll show you how to do this in the video!

We will also use some TH Halloween Ephemera to add the “Toxique” sentiments to each of the tags! ‘

We can also use the TH Sizzix Thinlits Colorize-Graveyard Die Set to create the little skulls, fence and spooky urn. I’ll talk a little bit about assembling these colorized images in today’s video as well.

Finally, let’s add all of our pieces to the tags and add a bit of Jute String and Tinsel or Fringe to the tops of each of the tags to finish the creepy look!
