Holiday Favor Jars!

Let’s have some fun creating these adorable little Holiday Favor Jars! Making party favors is absolutely one of my favorite things to do! We will be using the brand-new Ai Christmas Keepsake Set (6104) which includes an adorable snowman, reindeer, elf, and Christmas tree. There is also a little wooden basket/barrel that will fit any of these images and will coordinate perfectly with the other set in this series…Ai Fall Keepsake Set (6105). You can easily mix and match the little tin bucket and this wooden container to hold any of these little images!

To begin today’s project, we will stamp, color and die cut all of the images. All of the coloring will be done using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Sugared Almond Pink, Deep Red, Peach Pink, Lt Pink, Geranium Red, Wine Red, Yellow, Bright Yellow, Orange, Flesh Colour, Mustard, Beige, Mid Brown, Haze Blue, Blue, Deep Blue, May Green, Green, Lt Gray, Gray.

I used some small Mason Jars for this project, and I will show you exactly which ones I used in today’s video. We will first die cut the lacy borders using the Ai BJ Decorative Margin Dies (5972). These nice long (7″) dies will fit perfectly around the jars. We will die cut the border once and then run it through the die cutting machine again to die cut the other side. There is a little trick to doing this which I will also show you in the video.

Now we will grab the Ai Winter Woodland Cover PP (5964) to add to this lacy border. Again, this paper is a little longer and will allow us to go around the jars nicely. We can now wrap these around the jars and add our little images to the front of each.

For the top of the lids, we will die cut a small circle using the Ai Winter Woodland PP 6″x6″ (5963) in a pretty red. Then we will add a snowflake to each using the Ai Lg Snowflake Dies (5353). And to the center of each snowflake, we will add a few sparkly confetti sequins.

We will wrap the top of the jars with some red and white baker’s twine and tie on a cute little tag using a few sentiments from this same stamp set!

Then we can add a few white paper shreds, that will look like snow and then add some festive holiday treats!

Last Minute Halloween Party Favor Boxes!

Let’s create some super fun last minute Halloween party favors! We will be using the Ai Mini Journal Template Die Set (5805) to create this easy to assemble box. This card was inspired by the current Ai “Along Came a Spider” Blog Challenge which is to create a project that includes a cute little spider…and it doesn’t have to be a Halloween project….it can be anything you like!

We will die cut the box using the brand-new Ai Halloween S3 Cover Paper Pack (6131). This larger size paper pack will be a perfect fit for this box template. The best part is that the papers are double-sided so that we will get a spooky pattern for the inside of the box as well! We will also die cut an opening on the top of the box so that we can see inside. Let’s place some acetate over the opening so that our little treats don’t escape!

I decided to add a “liner” piece of cardstock on the bottom of the box so that it would give the box a bit more stability. I’m going to be placing some heavier candies inside my boxes, so I thought this would be more secure, but you can easily skip this step if you wish.

To add a glittery spider web, we will use the Ai Web Die Set (5462) which includes so many different web designs…it will be hard to decide which one to use!

For the sparkly sentiment, let’s go to the Ai Halloween Journal Die Set (5604) and grab the word “Spooky”.

Next, we will stamp and color the little spider from the Ai Spooktacular Set (6111). The coloring will be done using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Pink Flamingo, Gray.

We can assemble the box and add all of our little embellishments! These would be easy and fun to mass produce as a fun Halloween craft project!

Frankenstein Puppet Treat Bag!

Art Impressions has a brand-new set available that is part of their puppet series and it’s the Ai Frankenstein Puppet Set (6120). It is the most adorable die set for all of your Halloween projects!

Let’s begin by creating a background for the puppet using a fun Spiderweb Background Stencil Set and some Tim Holtz Oxide Inks in Black Soot , Seedless Preserve, Wilted Violet, and Villainous Potion. We can also spatter this panel using the Tim Holtz Distress Spritz in Seedless Preserves and Hickory Smoke. This will give a bit of shimmer!

We can attach this stenciled panel to some black glitter cardstock and add a few black borders along the bottom of this panel by quickly tearing the edges for a spooky look!

Now we can get to the fun part of die cutting the pieces in a variety of cardstock colors that are needed for the little Frankenstein and ink around the edges of each of the pieces using the Tim Holtz Black Soot Ink. This finishes off the pieces nicely! I used colored cardstock, but you could certainly die cut all of the pieces using some white cardstock and color them with your markers or ink pads.

I’ll show you exactly how to put this little guy together in the video. For the eyes and eyebrows, I thought I would grab those pieces from the Ai Santa Puppet Set. This is an easy way to add these if you are not keen on drawing in your own. Now for the nose and mouth I did use a black pen and draw those in because it was fairly simple.

Let’s glue everything together to build Frankie and add a bit of color to his cheeks, some highlights with a white gel pen, and black stitching around the cuffs and collar.

For the sentiment, we will be using the Ai Spooktacular Set (6111) and die cutting a stitched oval from the Ai Portfolio Template Die Set (5952). Now we can add some Lime Tinsel Embossing Powder around the edges of the oval and heat set the for a sparkly look!

From that same Ai Spooktacular Set we will stamp, color and die cut the cute little spider. For the coloring we will use the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Sugared Almond Pink, and Gray. Let’s add the spider to the sentiment and attach to the panel.

Next, to create the bag we will use a product that you all probably already own because it has been around for a very long time but is one of those products that I have reached for several times throughout the years. It creates a variety of bag sizes, and we will be using the large size today which will fit this panel perfectly. For paper we will use an ombre’ 12″x12″ paper in a variety of purples and lavenders. I will show you exactly how to use this nifty little punch tool in today’s video!

To finish off the bag we will add some lime green twine by wrapping it around a few times and tying a pretty bow!

Tim Holtz Love Notes Pillow Box!

Today we will be creating an easy, fun distressed Valentine’s Day Pillow Box using the Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits – Vault Pillow Box and Bag Set.

To add some added interest to the box we will using the Tim Holtz Sizzix Quilted 3-D Texture Fades Embossing Folder. Wait until you see how this wonderful, quilted pattern comes to life when we add some distress ink over the top in Vintage Photo. We will also add some subtle shimmer using the Tim Holtz Distress Spritz in Lumberjack Plaid.

Next, let’s go to the Tim Holtz – Sizzix Thinlits – Sidekick Side-Order – Love Notes Die Set and create the wonderful candy box. We will use some Tim Holtz Kraft-Stock idea-ology in a warm reddish color to create the box.

Let’s also add a little tiny bit of sparkle using the Tim Holtz Kraft-Stock Sparkle Plaid Cardstock. We will wrap this around the box and add the candy box on top.

Next, we will grab some sentiments from the Tim Holtz idea-ology Metallic Stickers. There are so many to choose from in black with gold lettering, but the booklet also includes white with gold lettering if you prefer!

We will also use the cute little embossing folder that comes with the Love Notes Die Set. This will emboss a panel of hearts onto some distress cardstock and create a notecard for the inside of the box. Here we can write a little note and add a few more coordinating sentiment stickers.

I had such fun filling this wonderful box with a notecard, candy, a gift card and some gold shreds but you can fill yours with whatever you like!

Tim Holtz Vintage Matchbox Party Favors!

Today we will be creating some tiny little vintage matchbox party favors! This little box is from the brand-new Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits Vault Matchbox die set!

Let’s get started by die cutting the base of our boxes from some Tim Holtz Distress Kraft Heavystock. This is going to give us a nice solid base for the boxes. We will be mass producing three boxes today and by doing this we can really speed up the process. Setting up a little production line is great, especially if you are planning on creating several of these for the holidays! We can quickly fold and assemble these box bases using a bone folder and some 1/4″ double-sided tape.

Next, we can die cut the “wrap-around” piece for the boxes using the wonderful Tim Holtz idea-ology – Kraft Stock Sparkle – Christmas collection. This paper has a wonderful subtle sparkle which is perfect for these vintage looking boxes.

Next, let’s die cut the images for the top of our boxes using the wonderful Tim Holtz idea-ology – Christmas Large Collage Strips. You will absolutely love these…they are perfect for tiny projects such as this or tiny tags, bookmarks, mini journals, etc.

Once these are die-cut we can ink around the edges with the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink in Vintage Photo. We will add a snowy effect to these by spattering on some white ink. Let’s pop these up on the front of the boxes with some foam squares. We can ink the edges of the box base at this same time.

Next, let’s add some holly leaves using the Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits – Vault Festive Wreath die set. Once we die cut these from some the Tim Holtz Kraft-Stock – Cool (Green). We will then sculpt these leaves to add some dimension and interest. I’ll show you how I did this in today’s video.

For the center of each of the leaf clusters we will add a cute little candy confection and add a sugary look using the Tim Holtz Rock Candy Glitter. These will look absolutely yummy!

To line the inside of the box we will use that same rectangle die and go back to the collage strips to grab some floral patterns. Don’t forget to ink around the edges of these as well. Now you can tape these to this inside of each of the boxes! This will look so pretty when the recipient slides the box open!

These adorable little boxes can be used for any party including Christmas parties, showers, birthday parties, and so much more! I folded and wrapped some cash in baker’s twine and added a cute little jingle bell to each of mine! You could add some candy, a special note, or anything you like! I’m sure you will have a great time creating these little gems for your own special event!

Christmas Party Favor Boxes!

Let’s have some fun today creating one of my favorite projects which is to create party favor boxes! We will be using the Ai Mini Journal Box Dies (5805) to create these festive little boxes. This die set was designed to create a box for your mini journals and that set is the Ai Mini Journal Template Dies (5718). However, I thought it would be fun to use it as a favor box today!

I previously used this same die set to create and Elegant Party Favor Box using Texture Paste and Stenciling that I will link below for you if you would like to take a look at that video!

Let’s go ahead and die cut the boxes using some 100lb Kraft Cardstock. We can also die cut the pretty borders using the two different border dies that are included in the set. We will die cut the borders and an insert for the inside of the box from some pretty red paper from the Ai Valentins Paper Pack (5741). We will also cut the label die from the top of the box to create a little window. We can glue on the borders and panel for the bottom of the box and then cut a piece of acetate for the window opening and glue this in place as well.

Let’s set those aside to dry while we stamp, color, and die cut some candy canes and holly w/ berries from the Ai Christmas Mice Set (5459). We will color in the images using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, May Green, Dark Green, Deep Red Grape, Geranium Red, Lt Gray.

We can assemble the boxes using some 1/4″ double-sided tape. Once they were assembled, I thought they needed a little bit of spattering in some white ink for a snowy look! You may want to do this before you assemble the box.

Now we can add the candy canes and holly with some 3D Foam Squares.

Let’s go back to that same paper pack and cut some paper strips to cover our chocolates. We can quickly wrap the candies and add a bit of green/white twine and tie a bow.

Elegant Party Favor Box w/ Texture Paste and Stenciling!

We are going to use this fun Ai Mini Journal Box Die Set (5805) today to create and elegant box design. This box could be used for a wedding, shower, anniversary party, or even for Mother’s Day! You could place some sweet treats in the box…as I will do for mine. But you could also put some money, jewelry, or any other small gifts inside. However, keep in mind that this box was designed to hold your Mini Journals. The possibilities are endless!!!

These party favor boxes were inspired by the current Art Impressions Blog Challenge – Just for You – which is to create GC holders, pockets, gift bags, or boxes!

Let’s die cut a couple of boxes with some white 100lb cardstock. We can fold on the score lines and tape this together using some 1/8″ double-sided tape.

Now let’s add a beautiful liner to the inside of the boxes using some pretty Hero Art’s Gold Stencil Paste and using the Hero Arts – Leaf & Floral Ornate Stencil. This will add some texture, shimmer, and elegance!

While those liners are drying, we can die cut the Heart Clasp Die which is included in the Ai Slim Journal Template Dies (5806). We will die cut the clasp using some pretty metallic gold paper. We can easily assemble the clasp and we will be gluing it together to give the illusion of a faux clasp. Let’s center the clasp on the front of the box and trim away and excess. But….keep that excess because we are going to add this to the side of the boxes. This just finishes the look perfectly!

Going back the Ai Mini Journal Box Set we will die cut the lattice border 4 times. We will add these to the front and back panels of each of the boxes.

For a few finishing touches, let’s add a pretty white heart on the center of the hearts and then a few gold dust gems for added sparkle!

Lollipop Party Favors and Gift Card Holder!

Let’s create some pretty party favors and a matching gift card holder for a special occasion! We are going to be creating some Spring favors but these would be great for a bridal shower, baby shower, anniversary party, birthday party, or even a graduation! Just change out your colors and sentiment to coordinate with your event!

These party favors were inspired by the current Art Impressions “Fabulous Flowers” Blog Challenge which is to create a card or project using any flowers of your choosing! Please feel free to join us in this fun challenge by entering your special card…we would love to see what you create!

We will start by stamping and coloring the floral arrangement for the front of the lollipops. To do this we will be using the Ai Front Porch Valentine Set (5493). This little tulip floral container is the perfect size for our project! Now we can color in this image using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Sugared Almond Pink, Peach Pink, Yellow, Bright Yellow, Pale Green, Lt Green, Lt Blue, English Lavender.

Next let’s create our rosettes using the Ai Easter Paper Pack (5742) in the lavender polka dot paper. We will cut this paper into strips measuring 3/4″ x 6″. We can fold these using the fan fold technique and assemble the little rosettes. I’ll show you exactly how to create these in today’s video!

Once the rosettes are done we can add our floral arrangement to the front of the rosette. The entire piece can now be added to the front of the lollipop.

We will also create a fun tag for each of the lollipops using the Ai Friend Sentiments Set (5734) which says “Spring is in the Air”. We will die cut each of the sentiments from the tag die in the Ai Journal Template Die Set (5543). Now we can add a bit of color around the edges of each of the tags using the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink in Shaded Lilac. Let’s add these tags to the lollipops!

We will also be creating a coordinating gift card holder in this video using the pocket die from the Ai Journal Template Die Set (5543) and that same pretty paper pack. We will also be stamping a sentiment on the gift card holder using the Ai Birthday Sentiments Set (5735) which will say “Treat Yourself”. This is perfect for our lollipop treats!

Let’s add a few pretty sequins to the gift card holder as a finishing touch!

Fall Harvest Party Favors

You all probably know by now how much I love to make party favors…and today is no different! I enjoy giving these little gifts as much as people seem to love receiving them. For today’s project, I thought we could create some fun Fall party favors that could be used for a dinner party favor or a little gift for a teacher or a friend. For our focal image we will be using a brand new stamp set – Ai Harvest Pumpkin Set (5595) – from the Watercolor Journals Collection. This set is designed to be mixed and matched with the other sets from the collection. There are so many beautiful Fall images including pumpkins, a little truck and tractor, a ladder, mini mice and squirrels, a wheelbarrow and so much more! This brand new collections is also being sold as a bundle pack which includes some dies, sentiments and papers in the collection!

All of the coloring today will be done using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Bright Yellow, Orange, Beige, Mid Green, Smoky Olive, Green Gray, Lt Gray.

We will use a pretty scalloped frame die from the Ai Journal Template Set (5543) to create the base of our topper. We will also be using some gingham paper from the new Ai Harvest Journal Paper Pack 6″x6″ (5606).

For the sentiment let’s grab the “Happy Thanksgiving” sentiment from the Ai Harvest Sentiments (5600) Set and create a banner. This set has several wonderful sentiments that will suit any Fall style card!

After we assemble the layers and attach this topper to our goodie bags we can add a few pretty champagne colored gems for a bit of sparkle!

Now….for the best part….let’s add some candy! If you didn’t want to add the candy for some reason…you could just use this topper as a place setting and add your guests names to the front or back to personalized them!

Halloween Goodie Bag/Party Favor

Today we will be making a spooky little party favor! To create this fun goodie bag we will be using the brand new Ai Front Porch Halloween Set (5487) which has so many cute little halloween items that can be used as intended with the Ai Front Porch Set (5512). But as you probably know by now, if you watch my videos, I like to change things up a bit. So I’ll use the elements of this set to create this Halloween party favor. I always try to use my stamps and dies in a variety of ways so that I can get a lot more use out of them!

We will be using the Goodie Bag die to create this adorable little bag! Then we can create a spooky sky using the Tim Holtz Mini Ink Pads in Peacock Feathers, Mermaid Lagoon, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot. We will “smoosh” these inks onto our craft mat, spritz them with some water, and then apply our paper onto these inks. Once the inks have been applied we can add more color by repeating this technique as many times as needed to get that spooky sky!

Let’s also spatter this sky with some metallic watercolor in an unexpected teal color. This will add a lot of sparkle and interest to our sky!

We can stamp and color all of these wonderful images using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Orange, Bright Yellow, Beige, Mid Brown, Gray, Lt Gray, Brick Beige.

Also, since this set comes with the coordinating dies we can go ahead and die cut all of our images. We can also die cut the bat from some glitter deco paper!

Let’s also create a little graveyard and some fun clouds for our scene using a Tim Holtz die set. In order to make the pumpkin lights look a little bit more realistic we will add some clear glaze over the top of each one of these tiny lights! We can now put some coordinating paper shreds/crinkle paper in the bag for added color and fun!
