Tim Holtz Road Trip … w/ Mountain Scene Layering Stencil!

I’m so excited to be showing a couple of great products! We will be using the Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits Road Trip Colorize die set today! This set is absolutely fantastic and includes the dies needed to create this fun car and some clouds, trees and a cute little sign! If you haven’t used these colorize dies yet you will see how easy it is to do….and it is so much fun!

And I’m equally as excited to show you this amazing 4-part Layering Mountain Scene Stencil from The Crafter’s Workshop! I’ll give you a few tips for stenciling this in today’s video. This stencil is so versatile and could be used with so many of our stamp sets.

To do all of the coloring today we will be using several of the TH Distress Oxide Ink Pads! We will quickly spatter the background of the scene using the Dr Ph Martin’s Bleed Proof White Ink. This will just bring everything together.

We will be creating a woodgrain frame for the scene using the Th Distress Woodgrain Cardstock. I’ll show you some tips for coloring this cardstock and creating a realistic woodgrain look! And for the road at the bottom of the card we will be using the TH 3-D Texture Fades Embossing Folder – Cobblestone #2. This will add lots of texture and dimension! We can a bit of ink to this panel for a more realistic look!

Now we can die cut all of the pieces needed to create the car and sign. I’ll show you how to easily assemble these in the video.

Finally we can wrap some twine around the bottom of the card and add a little charm from the TH idea-ology – Word Tags. Let’s also add a metal star to the sign which is from the TH idea-ology Adornments – Stars and also add the “good life” sentiment to the sign using the TH idea-ology Remnant Rubs – Tiny Text.

Tim Holtz Papercut Cafe Card w/ Acrylic Block Stamping!

Today we will be creating a fun background for our card using a round acrylic stamping block! This is so much fun and so easy to do! With this technique you’ll be able to create lots of backgrounds in a very short period of time!

We will be inking up the round acrylic block with the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks in Scattered Straw, Dried Marigold, Wild Honey, and Ripe Persimmon. Now we can spritz the ink with a bit of water and then press onto the cardstock. I like to let it sit for a second or two…this allows the ink to make a nice transfer. I will talk about this a bit more…and show you some tips and techniques in the video!

Now for a bit more interest, let’s do some stenciling using the Stamperia Create Happiness Stencil using the Gathered Twigs ink. To bring everything together we can spatter this background using some white ink and then the Gathered Twigs ink again!

We can also add this same ink around the edges of this panel using a blending brush. Now we can die cut a panel from this background using the Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits Vintage Label dies. We will die cut this label and ink around the edges and then place it back onto the card by popping it up with some foam tape. This will highlight our coffee cup a bit more!

Let’s go ahead and die cut the coffee cup and all of its layers using the Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits Papercut Cafe’ dies. For the layering papers we will be using the Scrapbook.com Smooth Cardstock Paper Pad in the Warms. In the video I will show you how these dies are labeled and how easily you can die cut and assemble the pieces of the cup and steam.

Let’s start layering the card with a pretty floral panel from the Tim Holtz idea-ology Backdrops Volume #1 Paper Pad and we can add a coordinating velvet ribbon from the Tim Holtz idea-ology Velvet Trims Warms collection.

Finally, we can add a few gems using the Tim Holtz Halloween Droplets!

Art Impressions “Cruise Control” Center Step Card

Happy Wednesday Ai Fans!!!

Let’s create a fun Center Step Card today using the wonderful images from the Ai Pack Your Bags (4932) stamp set. This set includes all of the images that you will need to create a great scene! It includes this adorable couple all decked out in their floral print shirts and enough bags for a long relaxing vacation!

I wanted to create some unique dimensions to accommodate the different sizes between the man and woman images. He is carrying a lot of bags…so I wanted the left side of the Step Card to be a bit wider and the right side to be a bit narrower. I will give you all of the dimensions and instructions to create this unique sized Center Step Card!

We will also create a beautiful sky using the Distress Oxide Ink Pads in Festive Berries, Abandoned Coral, and Mustard Seed. These three colors will make the perfect blend for our sky! For the ocean, we will be using the Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean inks.

To create the dock for our vacationers, we will be using a 3D Embossing Folder which will create the look of woodgrain with lots of dimension!

These cards are so much fun to make….I hope you give it a try!!! This card would be great for a birthday, retirement, or a vacation celebration card!!!

This card was inspired by the current Ai Blog Challenge – Oceans of Fun! The challenge is to create a card with a fun water element…this can be anything you want including rain, ponds, oceans, puddles, or anything else you can come up with…just have fun!!! Hello and Welcome! In today’s video we will be creating this fun Lawn Fawn Scalloped Treat Box using Lawn Fawn products! I thought that this beach theme would be fun for a retirement theme…but I also think that this would be a great Party Favor for a beach themed wedding. It would be fun to have two sets of flip flops in the sand creating a Mr. and Mrs. scene. Also, if you are making a lot of party favors this is pretty simple to mass produce!
