I’ve got the greatest brand-new set to show you today! This set is the Ai Fishing Boat Set (5926) and is a wonderful new addition to the Ai Rides Seres! The Ai Ride Series are interactive sets that currently include the Floral Truck Set (5511), Christmas Truck Set (5457), Spooky Wagon Set (5456), Birthday Buggy Set (5455) and a few additional add-on sets! I will link a few of the previous videos down below that I have done using these sets if you would like to check those out.
This new Fishing Boat Set includes the coordinating dies and sentiments. When you die cut the boat it creates a slit in the side of the boat where you can slide in the cute little fishing net, oars, cooler, fishing pole, bucket of fish, and anchor! This is a super fun interactive set that can easily be combined with your others sets from the ride series!
Today’s card was inspired by the current Ai “Stars and Stripes” Blog Challenge, which is to incorporate anything red, white and blue. For this card we will grab the American Flag from the Ai Front Porch Patriotic Set (5494) as a fun addition to our boat!
Let’s stamp and color all of the images using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Flesh Colour, Lt Pink, Geranium Red, Yellow, Haze Blue, Lt Blue, Blue, Beige, Brick Beige, Mid Brown, Lt Gray, Warm Gray 6. Using the coordinating dies we can cut these out.
For the background layers we will use the Ai Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies to cut the blue/white striped layer. This paper is from the Ai Christmas Magic (5853) Paper Pack. Next, we can cut two more smaller panels for the water and sky. One of these panels will create the waves and we will create these using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Simple Wavy Borders Dies.
Now we can do some ink blending for the water and waves using the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks. For the water we will also spatter the waves using both the blue ink and some white ink.
Let’s also stamp one of the sentiments from this same set. Now we can assemble the boat and all of the fun little pieces and add it to our layered card base!
I added so many items to the boat that I really hope it doesn’t sink…lol…but I just couldn’t stop myself!
