Last Minute Halloween Party Favor Boxes!

Let’s create some super fun last minute Halloween party favors! We will be using the Ai Mini Journal Template Die Set (5805) to create this easy to assemble box. This card was inspired by the current Ai “Along Came a Spider” Blog Challenge which is to create a project that includes a cute little spider…and it doesn’t have to be a Halloween project….it can be anything you like!

We will die cut the box using the brand-new Ai Halloween S3 Cover Paper Pack (6131). This larger size paper pack will be a perfect fit for this box template. The best part is that the papers are double-sided so that we will get a spooky pattern for the inside of the box as well! We will also die cut an opening on the top of the box so that we can see inside. Let’s place some acetate over the opening so that our little treats don’t escape!

I decided to add a “liner” piece of cardstock on the bottom of the box so that it would give the box a bit more stability. I’m going to be placing some heavier candies inside my boxes, so I thought this would be more secure, but you can easily skip this step if you wish.

To add a glittery spider web, we will use the Ai Web Die Set (5462) which includes so many different web designs…it will be hard to decide which one to use!

For the sparkly sentiment, let’s go to the Ai Halloween Journal Die Set (5604) and grab the word “Spooky”.

Next, we will stamp and color the little spider from the Ai Spooktacular Set (6111). The coloring will be done using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Pink Flamingo, Gray.

We can assemble the box and add all of our little embellishments! These would be easy and fun to mass produce as a fun Halloween craft project!

Today let’s create a fun Double Easel Halloween Card using the brand-new Ai Spooky Crew Set (5934) which includes the most adorable little critters that are popping up out of some little jack-o-lanterns. The set also includes a spooky house and tree, and some fun little sentiments!

This card was inspired by the current Ai Blog Challenge called “Never Have I Ever” which is to use a stamp or die that you’ve never used before. That was easy because this is a brand-new set that I couldn’t wait to use!

To get stared we will create a Double Easel card base. I will show you exactly how to create this fun dimensional and interactive card in today’s video. I have designed this as a square card, and I will also give you all of the dimensions and score line measurements for this size card. Once you know how to create the base of the card you can have fun using this card style with many of your stamp sets. For the layers of the card base we will be using a couple of paper pads from the Ai collection including the Halloween S2 Paper Pack (5849) and the Halloween Journal Paper Pack (5605).

Let’s stamp all of our images using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Lt Pink, Pale Yellow, Yellow, Orange, Mustard, Lt Brown, Beige, Mid Brown, Mid Green, Dk Green, Brown, Bordeaux Red, Violet, Lt Gray, Gray, Warm Gray 6.

This set also comes with the coordinating dies so we can easily die cut all of these images!

We will also die cut some ghosts, wrought iron fences, bats and some fall leaves from the Ai Harvest Journal Die Set (5592) and the Ai Halloween Journal Die Set (5604).

We can also add a “Boo” sentiment to the inside of the card along with some patterned paper and a little ghost!

Finally, let’s assemble all of our images onto the card and add a bit of sparkle with our glitter pen and some highlights with our white gel pen!
