Woodland Critters Ornament Shaped Cards!

Let’s create some fun and festive holiday ornament cards using some brand-new stamps from Art Impressions! We will be using the cute little woodland creatures decorating the snowman and the little bunnies gathering the mail! We will be using two of the new Woodland Series Stamp Sets today! I will link these two sets down below as well as a really great Holiday Lane Bundle Set which is currently available at a great discounted price and it includes the following:

Today, we will start by stamping the images and die cutting them using a pretty Hero Arts Ornament Die Set. We will be cutting this into a simple circle a bit later on….so you can just use a circle die here if you prefer. But if you do use the ornament die, I will show you a little trick for turning this into a circle.

Next, we can do the coloring using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Sugared Almond Pink, Wine Red, Lt Beige, Yellow, Orange, Pale Green, May Green, Green, Turquoise Green, Cobalt Blue, Lt Brown, Beige, Dk Oatmeal, Lt Gray, Gray, Mid Brown.

Let’s add a little sparkle to the snow using the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen. We can also add some pretty details and highlights with a white gel pen.

Now we can die cut the largest ornament die two times in mermaid cardstock and two times in raspberry cardstock. At this point, let’s add a sentiment on the inside of the card using the Ai Christmas Sentiments Set (5566).

With the front of the card, we can add some pretty snowflake rub-ons in gold and silver. These are so easy to use and add an elegant touch. You could also just stamp and emboss some pretty snowflakes as well.

We will be gluing these ornaments back-to-back to create a card design. But first, we need to score the top of one of the ornaments right below where the ornament topper ends. Then let’s place some glue above the score line and attach these together to create the card. I’ll show you exactly how to do this in today’s video!

Now we will die cut just the topper portion of the ornament die in gold and silver. You will need two of each if you want to do the back side of the card as well. Let’s glue these on the ornaments!

Finally, we will add a few sparkly gems and some pretty sheer ribbon!

Shaving Cream Marbling Technique to create Hero Arts Bulb Ornaments!

Let’s get started by creating some beautiful marble backgrounds using some shaving cream…. yes shaving cream!!! If you have never done this before you are going to get a kick out of this fun and easy process. I’ll show you exactly what to do in today’s video. It’s a bit messy…. but lots of fun!

To do the marbling we will be using the Hero Arts Liquid Watercolor and the Glimmer Metallic Inks. These bottles have a dropper applicator so it will make this product very easy to use.

Now we can die cut some ornaments from this marble paper using the Hero Arts Infinity Dies – Bulb Ornaments in a few different sizes. This will give our ornaments a very unique look! We can use these same dies to die cut the topper in some pretty metallic silver cardstock.

Next, we will add a sentiment to each of the ornaments using the Peace, Love, and Joy from the Hero Arts Ornament Peek-a-boo Infinity Parts set. We will emboss these sentiments using some “Liquid Platinum” embossing powder.

Next, we can create the background for the card using the Hero Arts Bold Prints 6″x6″ – Starry Night Brushstroke stamp. We will ink it using a clear embossing ink and then we will emboss it using the Hero Arts – White Satin Pearl embossing powder. Then we will add some pretty ink around the edges using the Hero Hues Ink Cube in Summer Sky. Let’s also spatter this background with some white paint for a snowy effect!

Let’s also ink the edges of the ornaments using the Hero Hues Ink Cube in Cotton Candy! We can add some pretty blue twine to each ornament and pop up the ornaments with some foam adhesive squares.

Next, we will die cut a pretty branch to hang our ornaments using the Tim Holtz “Holiday Greens” die set. Let’s die cut several of these branches and then glue them together for added dimension! Now we can add some Hero Paste in White Pearl for a pearlized snowy look!

Let’s quickly assemble the card and add a few of the Hero Arts Hero Hues Clear Enamel Dots onto the background, tie a pretty bow and add a few gems to the branch for a beautiful sparkle!
