Hero Arts Ombre’ Ink Pad – Pink Whisper Designs

If you are like me you don’t want to see summer end just yet…so I thought it would be fun to create a colorful tropical card using some fantastic products from the Lawn Fawn collection! Please note that there will be another card coming soon using the Lawn Fawn Build-a-drink Cocktail Add-on Set. In that video we will also be using the Lawn Fawn Beach Sunset Stencils to create a beautiful background!

The pretty drink for today’s card will be created using the Lawn Fawn Build-a-drink Die Set. This set includes all of the dies needed to create a variety of elements for the drink including the glass, straw, umbrella, fruit and foliage! I will show you exactly how to easily create the shaker element and we will use Buttons Galore & More Sprinkletz Embellishments Fruit Cocktail set to fill the shaker.

For the liquid in our drink we will be brayering using the Hero Arts Neon (Red to Purple) Ink Pad. I will give you some tricks and tips for brayering a smooth background without the lines that you can sometimes get. We can also use the leftover brayered paper to die cut some of the flowers that we can add back onto the frame.

The glass will be created using the Lawn Fawn Holographic Cardstock which is just so sparkly and fun!

We can also die cut the straw using the Lawn Fawn Stripes n’ Sprinkles Petite Paper Pack in the pretty yellow and white stripe!

To set the scene for our drink we can ink up a card panel using the Hero Arts Neon Ombre’ Ink Pad (Chartruese to Blue). Now we can die cut the Lawn Fawn Secret Garden Window from this inked panel. Let’s also ink up another panel with this same ink pad to die cut some foliage to decorate the card.

To create the overlay for this gorgeous frame we can use that same paper pad in the sprinkles yellow paper. We will also use our Hero Arts Blending Brush and Lemon Drops Ink Pad to add a bit of color around the edges of this panel.

For our sentiment we will use the Lawn Fawn S’more the Merrier Stamp Set and it will say “let’s TOAST to your birthday”.

Let’s quickly assemble the card and add those pretty flowers to the frame and a some beautiful foliage at the base of the glass for a beautiful tropical look!

Finally let’s add a few sparkly gems from the Pinkfresh Studio Ombre’ Drops in Twighlight!
