Let’s Celebrate Slimline Card!

Let’s create a pretty pastel slimline card today! We will be using several Lawn Fawn products, some pretty papers and dies from Art Impressions, and a fun polka dot embossing folder from Scrapbook.com.

To begin, we will die cut two slimline panels using the Ai Slimline Die Set (5463) and the Ai Baby Girl Cover PP (6059). These beautiful pastel pattern papers will be perfect for this card and we can easily combine the Ai Baby Girl 6×6 PP so that everything will coordinate nicely.

For the white panel, we will use a 3D Polka Dot embossing folder from Scrapbook.com. This will give us a lot of dimension and interest.

We can assemble the two panels together and then die cut the party balloons using the LF Balloon Bunch Die Set. Using some rose-colored sparkle paper from Lawn Fawn we will die cut the outline of the balloons. We will select some more patterned papers to insert into the balloon in pink, lavender, and blue.

Next, we will die cut the “Let’s Celebrate” sentiment from pattern paper and layer it up with some additional white cardstock and then add some more of that sparkle paper and offset it a little bit. This will give a little shadow of glitter from behind the sentiment.

Assemble the balloons and sentiment and add some pretty sparkly sequins!

Let’s quickly decorate the inside of the card using a pink and white gingham paper. And using the left-over sparkle balloon from the balloon outline that we cut out earlier we will attach it to the inside of the card, just over top of the sentiment. Add a string to the balloon using a pretty purple gel pen.

We will also stamp a sentiment on the inside of the card using the LF Valentine Mice Set. This will say “Sending Love on this very special day”.

Lawn Fawn – “Micey Nice” Valentine’s Card!

Let’s have some fun today using the adorable new “Valentine Mice” stamps, stencils and dies from Lawn Fawn!

To begin, we will stamp and color the images using the coordinating stencil set. This makes the coloring so easy to do. Just line up the stencils with your little critters and stencil away! For inks we will be using the Tim Holtz Distress Oxides in Spun Sugar, Festive Berries, and Hickory Smoke.

Next, we can die cut the images with the coordinating dies. Let’s set these aside while we create this wonderful foursquare frame using the Lawn Fawn Foursquare Backdrop: Portrait. We will die cut the frame from some Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstock and color each of the squares using the TH Distress Oxide Inks in Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers. This will give us a pretty sky as the backdrop for our little scene.

We will layer up 3 to 4 frames so that we get some nice dimension on the frame. Let’s also ink the edges and spatter the frame.

We can glue the frame onto our card base, add the four “sky” squares and then add our die cut images and clouds from that same backdrop die set. Be sure to stamp your sentiment before you place the sky into the frame. I used the sentiments that are from this same stamp set. The front of the card says, “Sending Love Your Way…” and the inside says, “For Valentine’s Day!”.

Now we will die cut the beautiful Lawn Faw Quilted Heart Border from some “Ballet Slippers” cardstock and the place some “Raspberry” cardstock behind the border. Be sure to keep the little hearts that are die cut from this border and add them to the four squares!

Attach the border to the bottom of the card and add some pretty LF Hemp Twine in white just above this border.

As a finishing touch, we can add some sparkle to the little hearts using the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen!
