Picket Fence Studios – Artist Annie in the Secret Garden!

I can’t wait to show you this very special little stamp set from the Picket Fence Studios – Freckle Friends – Artist Annie Stamp Set. This set is part of a series of “Freckle Friends” and today we are going to have our artist Annie painting her canvas in her secret garden!

To begin, we will stamp the images and color them using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Flesh Colour, Lt Pink, Pink Flamingo, Pale Yellow, Yellow, Ice Blue, Sea Green, May Green, Green, Scarlet Red, Lt Violet Purple, Blue Gray, Lt Gray, Beige, Gray. Now you can die-cut these images using the coordinating die set.

To set the scene, let’s create the secret garden window using the Lawn Fawn Secret Garden Window Set. We will cut the rectangle panel using the LF Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables with the LF Cardstock in Guava and die-cut the arched window from this panel using the LF Secret Garden Window Set.

Now let’s create the white garden frame using some white 100lb cardstock. To do this we will need to cut the arched window die and the garden die at the same time… just centering one inside the other.

For the pretty sky in the background, we will die-cut another rectangle panel using that same white cardstock and then we will use the LF Stitched Cloud Backdrop: Portrait Die to create a beautiful sky. Let’s ink this sky with some Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink in Tumbled Glass.

Before we start assembling the card, we can stamp the “Happy Day!” sentiment from this same set using some white embossing powder. We can also stamp “hi” using the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide in Saltwater Taffy.

Let’s attach the frame to the arched window with some 1/4″double sided tape and then add some pretty LF Hemp Twine in Dusty Rose. Now we can add some foam tape to this panel, but before we attach this to the cloudy sky panel, we can add Annie to the inside of the secret garden window. Now we can attach the entire panel to the front of a white card base.

Using your white gel pen, add a few highlights here and there. This will really make everything pop!

Let’s add the easel and a few sparkly gems, and some clear glitter pen to the front of the card for a finishing touch!
