Christmas Stocking Shaped Cards!

Let’s create two fun stocking shaped cards today. These can be used as tags or ornaments as well!

We will begin with the Ai Dwelling Christmas Set (6124) for some small images, which we will stamp and color using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Tea Rose, Beige, Mid Brown, May Green, Deep Green.

We can die cut those images using the Ai Nested Circle Dies (5726) and then ink around the edges using the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks in Lumberjack Plaid and Rustic Wilderness.

Now to create the stocking shaped card base we will use our stocking die. I will show you exactly how to die cut this in today’s video. This technique can be used with any of your shaped dies and gives your cards a unique and fun look!

Let’s die cut an additional stocking for the front of the card and begin by stenciling a pretty sweater pattern on it using the Lawn Fawn Cozy Sweater Stencil. Now we can ink around the edges of each stocking with the coordinating color.

Let’s also die cut a topper for the stocking using some pretty Lawn Fawn Sparkle Cardstock. With some additional sparkle cardstock we will die cut the “Joy” sentiments using the Ai Jesus & Joy Dies (5986) and the snowflake using the Ai Lg Snowflake Dies (5353).

Now we will add the circle with the images to the center of each of the snowflakes and then for a bit more sparkle we will add some pretty confetti to each!

Let’s also add a nice border to the bottom of the stocking using the Lawn Fawn Nordic Snowflake Border using some more sparkle paper and then adding a few more sequins.

Finally, we can stamp a cute sentiment on the inside of the card and attach the decorated stocking to the front of the card!
