Let’s create a spooky Halloween card using the brand new Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits – Edison, Colorize Die Set! This fun set includes a large pumpkin and two spooky clouds. This is part of the Colorize series of dies so we will be layering up the pumpkin for lots of interest and dimension!

To color the layers of the pumpkin we will be using the beautiful Tim Holtz Mica Stains. These mica stains will give each of the layers a pearl finish and the Harvest Moon colored layer will make it look as though the pumpkin is actually lit up!

Next we can die cut the pumpkin layers and glue everything together!

To set the scene let’s start by creating a moon using the Stampers Anonymous Layering Moon Mask and then we can use the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks to create the perfect night sky. We will use the Shaded Lilac, Villainous Potion, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot to do this. Just be sure to take your time with blending the inks to get the best results!

Now let’s die cut the Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits – Flower Field in black. This will give us a great place to hide the pumpkin for a spookier look.

Let’s add the sentiments…and for a fun and cute touch we can add a mask to the pumpkin!!! For our sentiments, bats, mask and raven we will use the Tim Holtz Sticker Book – Halloween 2023. This little sticker book is just packed full of fun and spooky sentiments and fun images. Great for all of your Halloween projects!

For a fun finishing touch let’s add some Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Glaze in Seedless Preserves along the bottom edge of the card. This glaze will add a bit of shine and a purple tint to the card!
