Today we will be using a the Ai Sledding Window Set (5454)! This set is part of the Ai Shadowbox Window Collection and there are several sets in this series. In order to create a Shadowbox Window card you would need to purchase the Ai Shadowbox Window Set (5408). This will create a fun dimensional effect on your card. However, today will be using this image separately in order to create a magical windy winter scene!

To get started on today’s card we will stamp and color in the pretty winter scene using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Shadow Pink, Pale Rose, Pale Yellow, Haze Blue, Aquamarine Blue, Smoky Teal, Plum Gray, Plum Mist, Lt Gray, Cool Gray 3, Cool Gray 6. As I mentioned in the video, several of the colors that I used today are from the new set of colors and I will link the video below. In this video I will talk about these newer smoky colors and also doing a sample swatch of each of the colors.

Next, we can create the windy sky using a windy sky background stamp and we will be inking this up using the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink Pads. We will using some blending brushes in order to soften the look of the background. Now let’s add some spattering with water and then some white gesso for the look of snow.
By adding layers of black cardstock and some foam tape we can really highlight the focal image and make it stand out!
Finally, let’s add some pretty gems in a variety of blue colors and a variety of sizes!
