Using the NEW Floral Shop Die Set in a fun new way!

Today’s card was inspired by the current Ai “I see right through you” Blog Challenge. This challenge is to create something that you can see through, so I thought this fun new window design would be perfect for this challenge!

Today we will be using the brand-new Ai Floral Shop Die Set (6159), which is a wonderful add-on die set that was designed to expand the options for your Ai Box Village Die Set. This new set is designed to help you create a sweet flower shop structure! This set has 28 new dies which include a few new windows, a larger door, a longer fence, new scalloped roof dies, and several mini floral dies and so much more! It even includes a “blooms” sentiment die to help you create an adorable flower shop box for your journals. Please also note that this new die set is included in a discounted bundle set. This bundle also includes 5 “Floral Shop” stamp sets which coordinate perfectly with the floral shop structure and are designed to fit perfectly on your tag book journal.

Let’s get started by creating the card base using the Ai Box Village Template Die Set (6114). We will be using a part of this die to create a tag style card base. I’ll show you how to do this in today’s video!

We will then add some wood grain patterned paper from the Ai Winter Woodland PP (5963) to the card front. Now we can die cut the opening for the window and add the windowpanes on both the front and inside of the card.

Let’s now die cut all of the pieces we will need to create the florals, fence, window box, and awning using the Ai Floral Shop Die Set (6159). We will use the pattern papers from the Ai Mini Birthday PP (5873) and some solid cardstock in Cilantro. We will also die cut a grassy border from that same Cilantro cardstock.

Next, we can go ahead and add all of the die cuts to the card. We will also stamp the “Live life in full…” sentiment on a little banner die and attach to the bottom of the grass. And for the inside of the card, we will use the “Blooms” die from this new set and cut off the letter “s”. So, the inside will complete the sentiment from the front of the card.

We will add some patterned paper to the inside of our tag card in a sweet gingham plaid and then add the sentiment.

For a few finishing touches, let’s add a few pretty butterflies using the Ai Birds & Bugs Set (5561). We can scatter a few on the front of the card and one on the inside of the card. We can also add a pastel heart on the bottom of the window box!

Art Impressions – New Release – Front Porch Harvest Door Card!!!

Today I will be showing you another brand new stamp and die set from the Ai Front Porch Series! This set is the Ai Front Porch Harvest Set (5492) and it includes the coordinating dies. This beautiful fall set is an add-on set to the original Ai Front Porch Set (5512)….keep in mind that you will need this set in order to create todays card!

Let’s go ahead and stamp and die cut and color all of our little images using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Sugared Almond Pink, Blossom Pink, Deep Vermillion, Yellow, Orange, Smoky Yellow, Ever Green, Mustard, Beige, Sand, Aquamarine Blue, Smoky Teal, Mid Brown, Lt Gray, and Gray.

To set the scene we will create a beautiful cloudy sky using the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink in the new Uncharted Mariner! Next we can create a frame for our card by die cutting several frames using the Ai Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies (5063) and gluing them all together. This will give us a nice thick frame for our scene! We can add a bit of ink around the edges to give it an aged look using the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink in Ground Espresso. Next, we can create a grassy border using some Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink in Peeled Paint.

Now we can stamp and color the front door. We will color this with some browns and grays to give it a rustic look and color the front door itself in a Smoky Teal color to give it a pop of color and tie it in with our other images!

Let’s also add a few birds from the brand new Ai Birds and Bugs Set (5561). This will add some interest and dimension to the sky!

Now for the fun part….putting all of these cute little pieces on our front porch!!!

Shaker Gift Card – Birds & Bugs!

Today I’ve got another really cute brand new stamp set to show you! This set is the Ai Birds & Bugs Set (5561) and it includes the sweetest little birds, bees, butterflies, and lady bugs! This set also includes the coordinating dies!

I wanted to show you all of these images on one card…so we will be creating this little shaker gift card! We will add a second stamp set by using the Ai On the Sparrow HL Set (5130) to include a branch for our lady bugs to sit.

To create the frames needed to for the shaker element we will be using the Ai Journal Template Die Set (5543). We will also grab a banner die from this set to stamp and die cut our sentiment. The “A gift for you” sentiment is from the Ai Christmas Sentiments Set (5566).

To set the scene we will stencil a cloudy sky using the new Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink Pad in Uncharted Mariner. We can place the four cloudy backgrounds on a cardstock panel….using the frame to line things up perfectly!

Now let’s stamp and color all of our images using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Sugared Almond Pink, Peach Pink, Deep Vermillion, Yellow, Orange, Mustard, Smoky Teal, Haze Blue, Lt Red Grape, Beige, Mid Brown.

We will create the shaker pockets by layering up several frames. Once we have these glued together we can place them on a card panel…lining them up with the sky backgrounds. Now let’s add some pretty glitter in each of these openings and cover this with an additional frame that has a sheet of acetate glued behind it. I’ll give you some tips and tricks for all of these steps as we go along! Now we can close up the shaker element by adding this acetate frame.

Once this shaker piece is complete we can finish assembling the card by embossing a card panel with a beautiful “Geo Screen” stencil. This finished card will measure 4 3/4″ x 3 1/2″.

We can quickly finish the inside of the card using a scallop rectangle die from that same Ai Journal Template Die Set (5543) and we will stencil this panel to coordinate with the little windows in our card. This will give us a place to write a note or stamp another sentiment.

This set can be used with any of your other stamp sets…these images will be perfect to finish off any scene!
