Christmas Party Favor Boxes!

Let’s have some fun today creating one of my favorite projects which is to create party favor boxes! We will be using the Ai Mini Journal Box Dies (5805) to create these festive little boxes. This die set was designed to create a box for your mini journals and that set is the Ai Mini Journal Template Dies (5718). However, I thought it would be fun to use it as a favor box today!

I previously used this same die set to create and Elegant Party Favor Box using Texture Paste and Stenciling that I will link below for you if you would like to take a look at that video!

Let’s go ahead and die cut the boxes using some 100lb Kraft Cardstock. We can also die cut the pretty borders using the two different border dies that are included in the set. We will die cut the borders and an insert for the inside of the box from some pretty red paper from the Ai Valentins Paper Pack (5741). We will also cut the label die from the top of the box to create a little window. We can glue on the borders and panel for the bottom of the box and then cut a piece of acetate for the window opening and glue this in place as well.

Let’s set those aside to dry while we stamp, color, and die cut some candy canes and holly w/ berries from the Ai Christmas Mice Set (5459). We will color in the images using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, May Green, Dark Green, Deep Red Grape, Geranium Red, Lt Gray.

We can assemble the boxes using some 1/4″ double-sided tape. Once they were assembled, I thought they needed a little bit of spattering in some white ink for a snowy look! You may want to do this before you assemble the box.

Now we can add the candy canes and holly with some 3D Foam Squares.

Let’s go back to that same paper pack and cut some paper strips to cover our chocolates. We can quickly wrap the candies and add a bit of green/white twine and tie a bow.

Rustic Cardinal Ornament – using your Art Impressions FREEBIE Stamp!

Maybe you need a few last-minute Christmas ornaments or gifts for your friends and family. I thought this beautiful cardinal would be perfect! I’ll show you all of the FREEBIES in this video. You will definitely have a hard time choosing one… but don’t wait too long if you are interested because these FREEBIES choices are only available for a limited time!

Let’s go ahead and stamp and color the cardinal image using some alcohol markers. I’ll be using the Spectrum Noir Tri-blend markers. I’m using these because this will allow the coloring to be fade-proof and permanent and this is especially important on an ornament that we will want to last a long time!

I will be decorating a round paper mâché ornament that I purchased at my local craft store. We will add a little ink to this using the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide ink in Ground Espresso. I want this circle to look like a slice of wood….so we will add some woodgrain paper from the Ai Christmas S2 Paper Pack (5812).

We will die cut the woodgrain paper from the largest circle in the Ai Nested Circle Dies (5726) set. Let’s also grab a few more papers from this same paper pack and die cut some pretty hearts using the Ai Nested Heart Dies (5721) set.

Now we can stamp and color a few of the little holly and berries from the Ai Christmas Mice Set (5459) and use the coordinating die to cut these out. We will add a bit of glaze to each of the berries for some added dimension!

Let’s create a sentiment for the back of the ornament by recreating the same stack of woodgrain and hearts and then die cut a smaller heart out of some white cardstock. We can stamp the sentiment with some red ink using the sentiment that says, “Winter Kisses and Christmas Wishes” from the Ai Chubby Snowmen Set (5351) set.

Finally, lets assemble the ornament and add a few matte gold gems to complete the look!

Joyful Snowman Card w/ Pearl Paste

I’ve got a brand-new stamp and die set to show you today….and you are going to love it! It is the Ai Joyful Snowman Set (5802) and it include three of the most adorable festive snowmen and many coordinating sentiments.

Let’s get started by stamping and coloring the joyful snowman using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Haze Blue, Sky Blue, Lt Gray, Sugared Almond Pink, Carmine, Wine Red, Orange, May Green, Green.

Next, we can create the background for our scene card using the beautiful White Pearl Paste from Hero Arts and the Lawn Fawn Snowy Sky Stencil. This will give us some pretty pearl snowflakes!

Now we can add some ink blending to this background using the Hero Arts Core Inks in Mist, Periwinkle and Aegean using a small blending brush.

Next, we will die cut a frame for this card using the Ai Nested Rectangle Dies (5724) and some snowy borders from the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders Dies.

Let’s also stamp and color in some pretty packages and some berry and holly leaves from the Ai Christmas Mice Set (5459) in the same colors we used on our snowman.

For the sentiment we will use the “Warmest Holiday Wishes” along with a scallop circle from the Ai Journal Oval Frames (5588). The patterned papers are from the Ai Valentines PP (5741). Let’s also cut the red and white striped paper for the front of the card.

Next, we can add a few highlights with a white gel pen and now we can quickly assemble this fun holiday card!! You can easily switch the snowmen from this set using this same design…so I hope you have as much fun as I did with this wonderful new set!

Art Impressions Christmas Mice Pop-up Box Card

Hello and Welcome!!!

In todays video we will be creating a super fun Christmas Pop-up Box Card!!! We will be using the brand new Ai Christmas Mice Set (5459) which has the most adorable little mice and a cute collection of items that coordinate perfectly with these mice! This set includes some presents, candy canes, holly/berries, and a set of adorable little stockings. We will be using almost all of these images to create todays project.

I’ll show you how quick and easy it is to assemble this little pop-up box card. Remember to take a look at the other sets that you may have that could be adapted to this fun card style!

I will show you all of the coloring using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens and all of the colors I used will be listed below. As a finishing touch, we will add some beautiful turquoise gems!

This pop-up card will fold flat when it is complete and will fit into a standard A2 sized envelope!!!
