Oh, happy day!!! I’ve got another brand-new Matchbook to add to your collection and to show you today! We will be using the adorable little Matchbook Gnome Home Set (5908). This is one of four new Matchbook sets that were part of the brand-new release! They include this set as well as the MB Music Set and MB Golf Set and MB Bait and Tackle Set. I recently did a video using the golf set and I will link it here for you:
Let’s go ahead and stamp and color all of the images using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Tea Rose, Pink Flamingo, Yellow, Orange, Scarlet Red, Blossom Pink, Aquamarine Blue, Smoky Teal, Ochre, Mid Green, Olive Green, Lt Gray, Platinum Brown, Warm Gray 6, Beige, Mid Brown.
Once these are colored, we can use the coordinating dies included in the set to cut these out. The die cutting will give us the score lines that we will need to press out with a bone folder.
Next, we can die cut the Ai Matchbook Template Die Set (5317) and the Ai Matchbook Envelope Die Set (5318) using the Ai Gnome Paper Pack (5832). Let’s also die cut the floor for our Gnome Home using the woodgrain paper from that same set.
Now let’s do the assembly and I will give you some tips and tricks for assembling this cute little wonder!
We can place the Matchbook into the envelope, to be sure we have the correct size, and then glue the tabs on the envelope!
We will add a little coordinating mushroom to the front of the envelope using a fun paper piecing technique, but you could add anything you like to the envelope such as a tag, ribbon, charms, sequins or beads. Just have fun and make it your own!
