Today, I’m excited to show you another brand-new set from the new release of all 5 of the active ladies! We will be using the Ai Pickleball Patty Set (6074) on today’s card. Keep in mind that each of the sets include a little lady and several sentiments and the coordinating dies. The collection includes Cruisin’ Carol, Birdie Betty, Gardener Gail, Cruisin’ Carol, Pickleball Patty! There are also some scenic paper packs that coordinate with each of the ladies. These are perfect for creating a quick backdrop for your cards!

Today’s card is perfect for the brand-new Ai “Sports and Leisure” Blog Challenge which is to create a card or project with a fun sporty feel to it! This includes specific sports, gardening, hiking, fishing, hunting, riding bikes or motorcycles, relaxing on the beach, cruises and so much more. Please join us in this new challenge…we would love to see what you create!

Let’s begin today’s card by stamping, coloring, and die cutting Pickleball Patty. For the coloring, we will be using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Flesh Colour, Sugared Almond Pink, Peach Pink, Pale Yellow, Mustard, Lt Gray, English Lavender, Lime Green, Summer Green.

Next, let’s add some details to the images using our gel pens in white, purple and lime green.

Now we can create the “easel” card base, and this will be a square card which will measure 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″. I’ll give you the details for scoring and folding this card in today’s video. We will add some patterned paper panels to the front and inside of the card using the pretty Ai Mother’s Day Paper Pack (6051).

Let’s also die cut a pretty scalloped square (Ai Scalloped Square Dies) and add some more patterned paper to this using the same paper pack. This paper has a netting look to it, so it was perfect for giving the illusion of a pickleball net!

We can attach the scalloped rectangle to the front of the card, being sure to only glue down the lower section of the rectangle so that it will pop up when we fold it into the easel design.

We will also die cut the word “ACE!” from the Ai LG Letter Die Set (5910). We will stack up a few white letters and then the green to give the letters a thicker look and feel! We will add these to the front of the card just below the scalloped rectangle.

Let’s add Patty by popping her up with some foam squares. Now we can stamp a few sentiments from that same set and die cut them using the Ai Portfolio Template Die Set (5952). We will need one for the inside of the card (this will hold up the easel design) and one for the front of the card! These sentiments will say “Serving sass and smashes!” and “Game, Set, Nap.” … so very cute!
