Let’s have some fun today creating a pretty Nordic winter scene! We will be combining some wonderful stamps and dies from Art Impressions and Tim Holtz! I love combining my sets… it allows me so many more options for using my stash of stamps and dies… and helps me to think outside the box a bit more!

Our cute little truck will be from the Art Impressions Little Trucks Set (5576) and the little tree will be from the Art Impressions Christmas Cars Set (5823). We will color the truck in with some alcohol markers and ink up the tree using some TH Mini Distress Ink Pads. Then using a small paint brush, we will use some white ink to add snow to the tree and truck.

Next let’s grab the Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits – Funky Nordic die set. We will be using the barn and snowcapped mountains for our scene. Let’s add a bit of ink to these using a blending brush…. this will make the coloring really quick and easy to do! We can add a beautiful wreath to the barn using the Art Impressions WC Mini Wreath Set (5830). We will add a pretty bow using a gold pen!

To set the scene, we will be inking the background using some Tim Holtz Oxide Inks in Speckled Egg and Uncharted Mariner.

Next let’s create some layers of cardstock and tear the tops of these layers to create some snowbanks.

Now we can assemble the card and add a white spattering all over for the look of snow! This really brings everything together.

For the sentiment we will use the “Winter Wonderland” sentiment from the Art Impressions Chubby Snowmen Set (5351). We will ink this up with some Archival ink in Barn Door.

Finally, we can add some baker’s twine at the top of the card and tie a pretty bow!
