Let’s have some fun today creating two mixed media Holiday Tags using the brand-new Tim Holtz Distress Spritz’s! We will take a closer look at Bundle #2 in this video, but I will also talk about Bundle #1 as well. I have created some swatches for all of the colors so that you can get a better idea of what they look like on cardstock. I will also link down below the video on the TH Distress Spritz Bundle 1 if you would like to check that out.
We will start with some Tim Holtz Distress Mixed Media Heavystock Tags and add some patterned paper over each of the tags using the TH idea-ology Backdrops – Christmas 2024 papers.
Next, we will ink around the edges with some Distress Oxide Inks. Now let’s add some TH Opaque Texture Paste using the TH Mini Layering Stencils Set #59. Let’s also spatter these tags with the TH Distress Spritz in Antique Linen, Fired Brick and Crushed Olive. We will also add a snowy look with a spattering of white ink.
Now we will die-cut some poinsettias, greenery, and sentiments from the TH Sizzix Thinlits Vault Holiday Classic Die Set.
To add some dimension and glaze to the sentiments, we will use the brand-new TH Distress Glaze in Evergreen Bough. To do this, we will ink the sentiment with some Versamark Watermark Ink and then the glaze over top and emboss! If you want to thicken it up a bit you can add another layer of ink and glaze!
We will add this same glaze to the greenery using the TH Embossing Pen. And to color the poinsettia, we will use the TH Distress Watercolor Pencils and then add the TH Distress Spritz over the top for a beautiful pearlized finish. You will love this look!
We will add all of our die-cuts onto these tags and add some TH Velvet Trim in a pretty green and tie on the jingle bell which was die-cut from some TH Metallic Classics Cardstock.
Let’s also add some sparkly confections from the TH idea-ology Confections and glitter them with the TH Rock Candy Glitter…yummy!
We will also grab some word chips from the TH idea-ology Baseboards – Christmas 2024. Let’s cut them down to size and ink around the edges.
Finally, we can assemble all of the pieces to create a fabulous, fun, holiday tag! Great for attaching to your holiday packages or just giving them as a card!
