New Year’s Eve is coming soon, and I thought it would be fun to create a mixed media tag with a surprise shaker element! We will be using several products from the Tim Holtz Collection including some wonderful “Vault Dies”, Grit Paste, Metallic Cardstock, Velvet Trims, Locket Key and Ball Chain, Sparkle Papers and so much more!
I’m creating the tag for a New Year’s Eve 2025 hostess gift. However, you could easily leave off the date and use this for any occasion. This would be great for a graduation by just placing the graduation year inside the tag, retirement, or even someone’s age for a big birthday celebration!
For the base of this tag, we will use the wonderful Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits – Vault Watch Gears Die Set. This will give us the elements needed to create the “pocket watch” layers and numbers. We will also use the Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits – Vault Christmas Magic Die Set for our focal element which is the magical city scape!
