Luck O’ the Irish w/ Rainbow Stenciling!

Let’s create a colorful rainbow St. Patrick’s Day Card using the Ai Sham-rock Set (5006). We will be using the pot of gold, four leaf clovers, and a cute sentiment from this set…but there are lots of other images and coordinating sentiments that you will love to include on your St. Patrick’s Day cards!

Once we have stamped, colored and cut out all of our images we can go onto creating our sky and rainbow for this card. Note that all of the coloring was done using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Fl Yellow, Yellow, May Green, Green, Lt Gray, Gray.

For the sky we will create a background panel with the Ai Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies (5063) and then add a watercolor sky using the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Spray in both Tumbled Glass and Uncharted Mariner. I’ll show you how quick and easy it is to create a fun, yet interesting sky!

Next, we will stencil a beautiful rainbow using the Lawn Fawn Corner Rainbow Stencils and also some Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks in a variety of colors. And for a little twist we will cut this rainbow out using our detail scissors. This will allow us to add some dimensional tape to the rainbow and give it some more interest on the card. But first, we will spatter the rainbow with some water and blot that up with a paper towel and then we will spatter the rainbow with some beautiful gold watercolor ink. This adds the “wow” factor to this rainbow!

Now we can stamp our sentiment which says, “May the Luck O’ the Irish be yours!”. Let’s go ahead and assemble the card and add a bit of sparkle to the pot of gold using the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen.

It would also be fun to add a few sparkly gems to the center of each of the shamrocks for some added interest and dimension!
