Creating a Box Card – Magical Songbirds!

Today we will be using the brand-new Ai Song Birds and Feeders Set (5980). This set is just perfect for today’s box card with its lovely birds and bird feeders. We will combine this set with the absolutely adorable Ai Gnomes Set (5785) and some little mushrooms from both the Ai Fairytale Houses Set (5935) and the Ai Whimsical Mushroom Set (5788). It is so much fun mixing and matching all of your stamp sets to create a unique and special card!

We can now add some white highlights and polka dots (on the mushrooms) to make everything pop a bit more!

Let’s stamp all of the images and color them using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Sugared Almond Pink, Lt Beige, Beige, Mid Brown, Yellow, Orange, Ice Blue, Sea Green, Smoky Teal, May Green, Green, Lt Gray, Purple.

Next, let’s create the cute little box card design. I will give you all of the measurements in today’s video. It is very easy to cut, score and fold this box card design. I have sized it to fit into a standard A2 size envelope when folded flat, but you could also use a square envelope if you prefer. Just keep in mind that the postage may be a bit more for the square envelope.

We will now cut all of our patterned paper layers for the box card using the Ai Mini Birthday Paper Pack (5873). Let’s add a few sentiments to the card using both the Ai Birthday Sentiments Set (5735) and the Ai Fairytale Houses Set (5935).

Finally, we can assemble this fun little scene onto the box card! This card will sit up nicely on your table when it’s opened up. I hope you got inspired to give this design a try!

Front and Back “All A-Buzz” Window Card!

Today we will be creating a super fun “Front and Back” card using a couple of different stamp sets from Art Impressions! If you haven’t seen the “Fronts and Backs” yet, then you are going to love the way you can see both sides of the image when the card is opened and closed. The stamps we will be using today include the cute little Ai Honey Bee Set (5925) and the adorable little Ai Gnomes Set (5765). The Gnome Set has a Front and Back Gnome that we will be placing in the window of our card.

But what is really fun is that the Ai Honey Bee Set has these beautiful sunflowers and one of the little bees that line up perfectly, as well, to create a front and back! It was sort of by chance that I figured that out…and oh was I happy!

Let’s start by stamping, coloring and die cutting all of the images that we will be using today. The dies for the stamps are included in the sets but we will also be using the Ai Farm FB Fence Set (5770) to create the fence and opening in the card.

All of today’s coloring was done using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Pale Yellow, Yellow, Flesh Colour, Blush, Haze Blue, Sea Green, Turquoise Green, Lt Gray, Olive Green, Mid Green, Dk Green, Warm Gray 6, Brown. Dk Brown.

Next, we can create a pretty sky by die cutting a large, stitched panel and blending the panel using our Distress Oxide Inks in Salvage Patina and Peacock Feathers. Let’s also spatter the sky with the Peacock Feathers ink and also spatter it with the Dr. Ph Martin’s Bleed Proof White Ink.

Now we need to die cut the rectangular opening which in included in the FB Farm Die Set and we will need to die cut this again into our card base. I will show you exactly how to easily line everything up in today’s video. We also need to die cut two of the fences from some Kraft cardstock. We will add a bit of inking to the fences to give them a more rustic look. Before we assemble the sky frame onto the card, we will sandwich a piece of acetate in between the layers so that we can give the card a more finished look as well as give us a place to glue our Front and Back Bee! You’ll see what I mean when you watch the video!

We will also need to die cut a few grassy borders and ink them using the Distress Inks in Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness.

Let’s go ahead and stamp the sentiment on the section of sky that we die cut from the larger rectangle.

Next, glue the fronts and backs of the gnome and sunflowers and then we can assemble the card!

We can add some highlights with a white gel pen and some sparkle with some pretty topaz-colored gems!

GNOMES – Bridge Card!

Today we will be creating a unique style Bridge Card! We just need to make a few folds and cuts in order to create the base for our card. I will give you all of the measurements and cutting instructions in this video!

Our little gnome stamps and dies will come from the Ai Gnomes Set (5785) which is a brand-new set from the Summer 2023 collection. We can stamp them onto some Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock and color them using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Flesh Colour, Sugared Almond Pink, Deep Vermillion, Mustard, Evergreen, Smoky Teal, Lt Gray, Mid Brown. Let’s also die cut these using the coordinating dies.

Next, we can create the Bridge card base and add some decorative patterned papers from the Ai Gnomes Paper Pack (5832). Again, all of the measurements are included in the video!

Now we can die cut a beautiful frame using the brand-new Ai Journal Die Set. This will act as the bridge element for our card. We will add a few layers to this frame. The top layer will be used to create our sky and grass which will be inked up using the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks in Speckled Egg and Peeled Paint. I’ll show you and easy way to mask off each of these areas on your card. We can quickly spatter this panel using some Bleed Proof White Ink.

Let’s assemble the card layers and add the bridge element to the card, being careful to glue the bridge element to only the right and left sides of the frame panel.

The sentiment for the inside of the card is from the same Gnome set and it says, “friends gnome matter what” and the sentiment for the front of the card will come from the brand-new Ai Little Sentiments Set (5797) and will say, “Hi Friend!”. The “Hi Friend” sentiment will be stamped onto a cute banner from that same Ai Journal Die Set.

We will add a few cute white stars to the banner from the Buttons Galore & More Sparkletz Firecracker embellishment set.

Finally, let’s add some highlights using our white gel pen. This will just make everything pop out a bit better!
