Today we will be creating two mixed media tags using the Tim Holtz Embossing Glazes, Distress Crayons, Collage Papers and a bit of Texture Paste!!! Let’s start by adding the beautiful TH Botanical Collage Paper. What is really wonderful about the products that we are using today is that the beautiful pattern on the collage paper will still show through all of the layers of color that we will be adding!

Now we can add some color to our background using the TH Distress Crayons in a variety of colors. To spread these colors onto the tag, we will use a baby wipe. This will allow us to moisten our finger, which will in turn, allow us to easily blend out our crayons.

Next we will add some of the TH Distress Glazes by adding some clear embossing ink using the Ranger Emboss It Dabber. This will allow us to be very specific about where we are adding our ink and glazes. Once the ink has been applied we can sprinkle on the Embossing Glaze and tap off the excess. You will want to do one color at a time so that you don’t contaminate the embossing powder with one another. The glaze again will allow the pretty pattern of the collage paper to show through since the powders are very translucent, yet super shiny!

Let’s also add some TH Texture Paste using the Stampers Anonymous Mini Stencils (Set 35)! This will add lots of texture and dimension.

Now we can select some butterflies from the TH Transparency Wings Collections and we can shape these a bit by carefully folding down the centers. Then we will add some pretty gems to the center of each of the butterflies.

More texture and interest will be added by using the TH 3-D Texture Fades Embossing Folder (Intertwine) and adding some paper pieces to the bottom of the tags.

Let’s take a few fun sentiments from the TH Label Stickers (Thoughts) and cut them up to give the tags a more whimsical look!

Finally, we can add some beautiful TH Velvet Trims for a finishing touch!
