Today we will be using some new Christmas 2023 products from the Tim Holtz collection! Let’s start by cutting some kraft cardstock to size. I will give you all of the measurements and score lines in this video!

Next, we will be using the beautiful new Texture Fades – Holiday Knit embossing folder with some kraft cardstock. We can emboss the two 4″ x 4 3/4″ panels through the die cutting machine and then run the smaller 4″ x 1 1/2″ panels through using the snowflake section of the embossing folder.

To ink these panels, we will be using the Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink. To apply the ink, we will use the Tim Holtz Small Brayer. I’ll give you a few tips and tricks for brayering in today’s video as well.

Next, let’s add some Tim Holtz Distress Mica Stains in Sugary Gumdrop, Wonderland, and Frosty Mint. We will spritz these colors on to our embossed panels and with a sponge dauber we will spread the mica stains out a little bit. These mica stains dry with a beautiful shimmery finish and really bring these panels to life! We can also spatter the panels with a bit of white ink for a snowy look!

Let’s also ink the edges of all of these panels using the Distress Oxide ink in Ground Espresso.

Now we can spray the three stains onto some white cardstock and die cut the “joy” sentiment. This sentiment is from the Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits – Festive Words die set. We can also die cut the layer piece and ink the edges with that same Ground Espresso ink.

Let’s score the larger panel to create the card base. We can add a bit of twine to the front card panel and pop this panel up using some foam mounting tape and then add the sentiment. This will also get popped up for a bit of dimension.

We can add our snowflake border to the inside of the card and add some 1/8″ double sided tape to the inside flap to create the little pocket for the gift card.

Finally, we will add a few additional sentiments using the Tim Holtz idea-ology – Sticker Book – Christmas 2023 and add a few sequins in a coordinating teal color. But as I mentioned in the video, if you want to keep these a bit more masculine you could add a few metal stars, enamel dots or chipboard stars that you may have in your collection.
