Today we will be breaking out a whole bunch of Tim Holtz products to creating two vintage holiday cards with lots of texture and dimension!
I’ll show you a fun way to use your Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks along with your TH Distress Embossing Glazes to create a fun ombre’ tree. For the tree we will be using the TH Stampers Anonymous Mini Layering Stencils – Set 62. This stencil set contains three fun mini stencils…perfect for your holiday cards and projects!
We will add a pretty poinsettia and leaves using the TH Sizzix Thinlits – Vault Holiday Classic die set and from this same set we will die cut the “Peace” sentiment. This set includes “Noel” and “Wish” and any of these would work great for this card.
We will also grab a cute reindeer from the TH Sizzix Thinlits – Darling Dear set. To color this we will just use the TH Distress Oxide in Antique Linen and Walnut Stain which will be very simple and easy to do.
For the sentiment strip on each of the cards we will use the idea-ology – Metallic Sticker Book. The stickers in this booklet include white with gold lettering and black with gold lettering and there are so many to choose from!
For the background paper we will use the TH idea-ology Christmas Backdrops and then spatter these panels with some TH Distress Spritz in coordinating colors.
We can add a nice snowy border on the bottom of the card and sprinkle it with some TH Rock Candy Glitter for a wintery look!
Don’t forget to add a few sparkly gems to your tree for added sparkle and interest!
